So I busted out the stopwatch because after the first half, it seemed as if the QBs had wayyyyyyyyy too much time to throw. I wanted to find out what the average time was from snap to throw for all the passes in the second half.

The results of my little test are rather interesting. First, the overall combined stats for Collins/Flacco:

12-28-4INTs-1TD..called back for holding.

The pass plays: time to release/result

3.0/inc
2.4/int

3.1/Comp...holding penalty
1.4/Screen complete CJ
3.3/Inc

2.8/Comp Heap
2.9/Inc.

2.4/Inc.
1.8/Screen complete CJ

3.2/Int. (Harper)
2.7/Inc.

3.0/Int. (Reed)

4.7/Inc.

4.0/Comp Scaife

2.4/inc
1.8/McLain
1.9/Mason
3.3/inc
3.0/Mason
2.9/inc.
2.6/Williams
2.3/Peerman
2.1/Williams
5.1/Inc.
2.6/Inc.
3.5/TD....holding
2.8/inc.
2.0/INT.

This averages out to less than 3 seconds from snap to throw. Additionally, quite a few of the passes were thrown under pressure. The pressure also caused a fair amount of incomplete passes.

I know the blocking and line play does not appear to be perfect, but based on the results it seems that it may be less of a problem that a lot of people think.
Great stuff here man!!

Thats what you do on Passing plays. If everyone is accounted for, you stay in your space because if you pick up a guy that is not in your area, You will get burned by a Delayed blitz.

Re: Ravens (CPU) vs. Titans (Ian) full gameplay in HD

I don't think he's necessarily looking for pats on the back. It's hard to make progress when you're told you're doing nothing right.

It would be extremely frustrating if I was your waiter at a restaurant and when I went to take your order all you told me was "IT'S COLLLLD IN HERE!!!1 I HATE TOMATOESS!!!! YOUHAVE DIRTY BATHROOMS!!!"

If you notice something you don't like, by all means, point it out. But the "this is the same old broken, sh***y Madden" attitude is kind of tired at this point. If you are thoroughly convinced that, despite the obvious improvements, this game is not going to satisfy you, I think you might want to drop football video games and pick up a new hobby.

Ian isn't doing us any favors by making Madden, it's his job. But the dedication he has shown to the community is not a job requirement. He could drop it all right now and we could never hear from him again and I guarantee you he wouldn't be reprimanded in the least by his superiors. We have a unique opportunity here and I'd hate to see it go to waste because a handful of people want to "tell it like it is" or as I think most people would say "be douchebags".

He'd shut Chris Johnson down, and beat the Titans by 14 points, and we'd all be talking about how realistic it is, because Baltimore's defense is so great.

The game LOOKS great. I give him credit. Unfortunately, for me, I don't care about graphics. I want good game play. I want to get shut down by the CPU, and lose games. I don't want to have to go online and play against people who abuse the wild cat, to get competitive games.
All-Madden will 100% be competitive. I wouldn't say I'm good at the game but I'm no slouch, and I get worked pretty handily when I play all-madden. I don't think you'll have problems if you want to find a challenging experience...just my opinion.

Plain and simple.
Seeing Chris Johnson run like that almost made me fling my monitor through the wall.
It's not real seeing a runningback run through the defense with his back perfectly straight . On top of that , he's running with these slow / long strides.

Atleast backbreaker is coming out.
Dude...Backbreaker is going to be awful. The first year of a brand new engine and new football franchise...It's going to be so riddled with bugs and flaws that it'll be almost unplayable.

Ian aka Tony Romo has done a great job in one year. I have my issues with certain things but it's certainly a great improvement and I'm looking forward to playing it.
