I agree. The adaptive AI is great... now if we can get them to take the outside away on the screen pass, and funnel him back inside towards more defenders....

My thoughts:

- Presentation is really good (tons of cut scenes)
- Players overthrow
- Love the ball coming out during sacks
- Better catching
- Running animation needs work

After reading some of the problems people here are posting, here's what I've got to say:

1. Some of the problems can be addressed by changing game sliders.

2. Why when some people see a player do something bad in these gameplay vids that it's a problem with madden? Players make mistakes all the time. I just find it funny when I see people complaining about stuff like players going out of bounds during pass plays (which btw, happens way less compared to 09 judging by these vids and also happens in real life games), and DL players falling down (which happens a lot in real life games).

Some of these complaints are just so "complaints to be complaining".

Hey Ian , great job man.......... good game. maybe you should make two games of madden . one to go with each face of the people on this forum. the people here are two face beyond belief. the game looks great.


i like the defensive pressure. thier is enough pressure in the game to make a difference in passing and running. i think the running animations are good. def better than 09( dont know what some people are thinking)

the passing is 10 times better than last year. i like the overthrows and under throws. the receivers animations are fun to watch.

the presentation is by far the best i've seen in a game ever.

Ian my advice for the debbie doubters is , it's mind over matter.............you don't mind because they don't matter LOL

Finally finished it. Came away mostly impressed. It really looked like that holding call that negated the late touchdown pass really deflated the Ravens. Did anyone think there were too many holding calls?.... I don't know the average, it just seemed like there were a lot.

Contrary to popular opinion I don't really think the sky is falling on the Defense. Most of the points scored were on big plays, Ravens interception for a TD and a 77 yard TD pass, that's 14 of their 21 points. Titans interception for a TD (on what was essentially the last play of the game) a 37 yard TD run by Johnson and a long screen pass to Johnson that went for a TD (I think). That's 21 of Tennessee's 35 points. Keep in mind, despite being held to only 10 points by Baltimore in the playoffs last year the Titans did put up 391 yards of offense. Johnson ran for a 6.5 ypc average on only 11 carries and Justin Gage put up over 130 yards of receiving.

The difference in this game was Johnson's speed. I think the defense should have keyed on the outside runs earlier in the game and should have been more conservative in their pursuit angles.

Besides for a couple big plays, Baltimore's offense was stagnant and I liked that. Flacco was inconsistent as was Ray Rice. I think Ian only completed around 50% of his passes and I thought the two interceptions he threw were very reasonable. I loved seeing Ed Reed come in and make a big play late in the game.

GOOD POINTS:

• The 1 handed interception by Foxworth was awesome.
• Flacco's throw on his 1st interception was awfully inaccurate.
• Could really feel the difference when lendale White came in.
• Cut scenes are sweet.
• Todd heap over the shoulder catch at the end of the 3rd Qtr by the cpu was sexy.
• Loved when flacco ran (1:17 video 5) once he saw you were in zone coverage.
• Crowd

BAD POINTS:

• Chris Johnson's legs didn't seemed like they moved fast enough.
• The QB sneak on the goal line that you tried looked really ugly but i liked how the cpu stacked the box on the attempt.
• On a few occasions (video 4, 8:15ish) the HB is doing a little irish dance behind flacco when he's looking down the field. PLEASE REMOVE- i saw it on more than one occasion.
• Flacco's accuracy is really bad... I really don't want to throw with TJack.
• Were there any sacks???
• Chris Johnson was named player of the game with 55 secs left whilst the ravens were driving for the tie and possible OT.
• What was the last throw of the game by Flacco?? Under no pressure, throws a lame duck 5 yards from any of his teammates but at 3 titans? (Did you programme that in to get titans to win Ian?)

OVERALL


The game looks very very fun but a few things concern me.

1. Chris Johnson looks unstoppable and i don't think he fatigued enough... he just seemed to be making every big play one after another.
2. Joe Flacco's accuracy was shocking even when he had no pressure on him.
3. I can't remember a sack (may be wrong), when the titans got close to Flacco he released it (m09 robo QBish).
4. QBs still seem to have far too much time.

All in all the game looks really good, an unbelievable improvement in 1 year... the only thing holding it back right now is the lack of pass rush-

The lack of pass rush allows the QB too much time to find an open man...
The WR is open because he's had so much time to lose his coverage...
This is going to inflate QB stats and the users points total... possibly making offense too easy.

I was slightly perplexed at some of Flacco's passing when he wasn't under pressure, some of them were 10 yards from the target- an issue Collins didn't seem to experience at all.

8/10 but would be a 9 if the pass rush is sorted and a 10 if the Franchise mode is good and indepth.
