Naw man forget all that revenue noise. They need to put a slary cap and trade logic in Online Franchise period. It's bad enough that it's only limited to 10 years, the fact that it is missing these key elements is flat out wrong. They were able to focus all this time on putting fricking colored cleats and wavablehand towels in the game, the couldnt catch the salary cap and trade logic? See man that's the reason why people get so pissed at Madden. Endless amounts of little petty things get in the game, but huge features managed to get skipped or "we don't have disk space, time to complete"etc. That is just plain silly. Even if it was based off revenue, how in the hell can a team really change their fortunes in 10 year, when it takes at least 3 just to completely change from loser to super Bowl winner.

This is a huge mess up IMO if it is confirmed it did not make it in.

At the very least, if there's no cap, the commissioner can announce a salary cap and enforce it by blocking moves that would put a player's team over the cap. While a bit of extra legwork on the users' end, this is an acceptable workaround until the cap is implemented, IMO.

Trade workarounds can be done in a similar manner to how fantasy football works; announce the trade to the entire league, and allow it to be voted down by other members. Again, not convenient, but an acceptable workaround.

Despite the extra work that it's going to take for it to work, I'm still very much looking forward to online franchise.

Umm, did Ian and company actually confirm that there would be no online salary cap or are you all just making judgements again? Pretty sure everything would be serverside and I'm pretty sure all the features of online franchise aren't out yet (or finished). Could you wait till we get an announcement first?

It's been confirmed that as of now there is no salary cap for online franchise or trade logic.
