To the point that its funny. There is no way its going to be left like that in the final game I think.
Dude, it's going to be in there.

I complained about it in Madden '07....nothing happened.

I complained about it in Madden '08....nothing happened.

I complained about it in Madden '09 (http://www.operationsports.com/forum....html).....and it looks like nothing is happening.

This one of my biggest pet peeves and year after year it goes unfixed. At least in last gen versions, the momentum was so great, it was hard to make sudden movements with your QB. The developers this gen seem completely oblivious that the problem exist.

So when can you guys tell us about how the RS D-line moves work? I am really intrigued, as I really wanted this upgraded. Are they "shaped?" Come on Ian, spill the beans!

Nice video i'm sure the graphics will look better on my tv as well as player color. Will the bigger ends bullrush guys instead of turning the outside like a pass rusher? since moves are used with the right stick now what about the run/pass call, will the new flow and rating length make help the star players find the ball on there own?

first, your link doesn't work...

I'm all for making sure the QB's step up and into their throws to be able to make completions down field, but I saw a clip on NFL Network of Cutler after a playaction fake, falling backwards and getting hit, firing a bullet spiral 20 yards downfield to his TE. It's rare, but I wouldn't want the game to make it impossible for things like this to happen, cause it does happen.

Perhaps the block wasn't done as well as possible, and there's definitely no way to branch out of it (unless you dive, that seems to work pretty well, it's a trick I use to avoid blocks like the one in the video and the only time dive should ever be used in the game). Is the 2nd example really an example of a long running animation, or more of an example that you can't have a dual animation triggered, in other words, he should be getting blocked while reaching to make the tackle. Since there is no dual animation concept, the closest animation, based on context wins, and is triggered. In this case it's the blocking animation.
I just wanted to quote this because I noticed it too. If you're going to say something about 2k's blocking then maybe you should actually show a video of what you are talking about Ian, cuz it's certainly not happening in that video.

I also wanted to ask what was up with the ref in the backfield. If you watch him on the first play with Dallas on defense he is watching Flacco, but when Flacco rolls out of the pocket instead of the ref turning his head or lifting his feet up and turning his body, his whole body just kind of slides from left to right without moving. It looks really, really bad.

Otherwise it's a decent blog. But yeah the QB movement in the pocket is utterly atrocious as is the defensive linemen running straight into the o-line.
