Yeah that's the real over/under right there. Better than 09 is guaranteed. Living up the hype? Going to be awfully hard for some people. Then again honeslty outside this website, no one is expecting this game to be much better than the last. i think this website actually gives the idea of hype that is not really shared across the gaming world.

true, so many people including me still think that 2k5 was still the best value in football games, i just hope that ea takes advantage of the last chance that so many of us are giving them! I hope this next madden wont hafta be my last one!

It's interesting to see everyone's confirmation bias in regards to the new adaptive AI feature. Only a few people have acknowledged any possible negatives of the adaptive AI. Is it possible that this new feature was easier to implement than addressing the always deficient coverage abilities of the DB's (ie... the always open crossing patterns)?

Also, if a team without a lot of depth has an injury to their star CB and a scrub is forced to play against Anquan Bolden the scrub will get better on particular routes (because he sucks) instead of forcing a different coverage scheme?

Obviously, we will need to see more details before opinions can be formed. However, I'll maintain a critical outlook until I see complete details in regards to the new features Madden 10 is proclaiming.

Besides this site and the people that follow the blogs, no one else really knows that there is a new dev team.

I very interested to see how IGN, gamespot, 1up, etc. note the fact that they have a new dev team and note these features and the community interaction (that is if they do at all) since that's where a lot people get madden news from.

Ea let gamers return the game if we are not satisfied or drop the price to 39.99 for a year. $19.99 2k5 is still the game to beat and Ea should be ashamed.NCAA 2003 was the best football engine produced by EA .
WOW...new account and seconds away from an infraction.

Although his technique was bad you gotta agree with him. As long as I remember I don't ever recall EA saying "This year our game will suck bad" yet every year it does. If I heard them admit just once the truth I could then believe. When they gave Sony a tip of the hat for MLB 09 that was a unique move. While it showed them acknowledging a great product it was kinda calculated. After all EA doesn't make baseball games and Sony doesn't make football games. So their not really tipping their hat to their "competitors".

Now if I heard them acknowledge 2K8 and/or 2K5 then I'd buy Madden 10 the day it comes out.

Ian has a reel of 2k5 running in his office on a daily basis so his co-workers can see the presentation and gameplay of the 2k series.

This is the same exact thing I have been asking. I guess they can't speak on it yet.
