I totally understand, please let me just say this...Cris Collinsworth did a masterful job with the commentary, worlds better than anything madden has ever had in the past. The value he adds to the game is priceless. Thanks for the clarification on Adam Jones...you guys knocked Madden outta the park this year...great job.

We are working on a roster udpate for release day that will cover these changes as well as others.

Thanks Phil. Can you comment on the comment you made about weather effecting gameplay? Just wondering how does it effect gameplay? Thanks!

The gameplay vid looked real nice.

I loved seeing the QB being punished for dropping back 15 yards and throwing off the back foot.

Hopefully next year we'll have a better pocket and the QB will be on his *** if he tries to drop back like that. But at least there has been progress made.

This video and the board impressions have been enough to convince me to pass on NCAA 09 and wait for Madden. Even though I prefer college football I could not live with the known problems of NCAA if I had the option of playing a more polished Madden.

Thanks for checking in Phil. It really is great you guys are so actively looking for feedback. Hope to see you after the game releases.

Looks pretty good. But I see they still have the receiver slide/morph super speed for a split second when they are out of position to make the catch. 9:25 mark. I see it all the time in NCAA 09 and all previous next gen EA football games. DBs will do the same thing - go into super speed and slide into position for a split second for a swat or INT.

Wait a sec now, don't go and crucify the man for making a comment that he knows to be true at the time of the comment. How can it be EA's fault for gamers seeking exploits and then using them to cheat? They don't build the game to give guys advantages. We should be singing EA's praises on this one now...they saw the problem in the Madden Nation show (guys using glitches and stuff) and they want it out of the game. Don't be suprised if this game has little bugs...and you know they'll patch 'em up anyway.

Isn't that one of the big complaints about NCAA - that the defense has been purposely gimped to provide more wide-open play? Not even a few months ago we saw builds of Madden where the linemen were getting knocked down with ease. But because people spoke out about how ridiculous it looked it's been greatly reduced (let alone how it shouldn't play that way anyway). The lineplay still looks a hot mess because they seem to just jumble together and it's not really reflective of how it would seem an OL/DL would interact - let alone a good d-line like the Giants - but it's improved from what it was. If I'm not mistaken we also were hearing around Community Day at how defenders are made to take bad angles at times - but maybe that was NCAA being talked about, not Madden. Either way, just saying I agree that people will always look for things to exploit - but the devs have done more than their part to add [BS] to the game that shouldn't be there imo.
