Problems with Sliders... help please

I've been playing madden for years now and i am really enjoying this years installment. I've been playing on all pro since it is almost just right for me. however, i have a few complaints. I am constantly being sacked by the cpu. like 6 to 10 times a game (the eagles O-Line is bad, but not that bad lol) i figured i could just adjust the sliders but when i adjust the sliders it seems like the game gets a lot easier, including the kick meter which slows down. the cpu seems dumber and worse. Im wondering if anyone else has this problem or if its just me since i'm new to playin with sliders. any suggestions on what sliders to use.

plus, i am a freak about doing everything myself. so when i throw a deep jump ball to my receiver, or a fade into the corner of the endzone, i wanna do the strafe, go up and get the ball myself. however after some research i found out that you are unable to strafe with a reciever on any difficulty harder than pro unless you tweaked the sliders, which again, i'm having difficulties with.
