Normal Custom Sliders Title Update 2

Normal Custom Slider Title Update 2 Version 2. 2/5/10

Gameplay Sliders and Coaching Sliders Updated!
Improved Stats and Better A.I.

These gameplay sliders are designed to give you a more advanced game over All-Pro. Its also designed to bring you games were player ratings, matchups, and even stats are tuned to be realistic.
You can call your own plays or do what I do, and use ask Madden for about the 1st 15 plays. Like a play script to begin the game. You can switch on D, you can use the KR(just use a lower rated one, unless your desperate to get a big play).

I also have a Player/Cpu IQ scale for those that would like to tweak these on their own and it basically shows you what level of skill you're tweaking it to.
And for the franchise simmed stats guru's, I have coaching schemes setup for All 32 teams. I would just point out that controlling all 32 teams is up to you. Its not required to run a franchise controlling all teams, unless you perfer that GM type control.

Read below for more details

most recent slider change:
Changed the spteams punt acc, which makes for a better defensive game and also helps both player/cpu get better avgs, instead of being bottom feeders compared to simmed game stats.

Major changes to sliders after extensive reg. season game tests(Post-Patch 2). Fixed most simmed stats w/ coaching sliders. Improved the cpu running game and run D.
The gameplay, player/cpu sliders are a more advanced version of All-Pro. I really like how the game plays closer to default now(post-patch 2) on most sliders. Others are reduced for obvious reasons.

This is up to you the user(not required)
Another good thing about controlling all 32 teams is, you can make coaching adjustments before playing a certain team, then change it back after playing, for simmed stats(ex. a teams #1 qb is injured, well the gameplan for this team would change if they had a sorry backup qb, they should run more).

Read below for player/cpu updates highlighted *

Please leave feedback on gameplay, stats and coaching sliders. These are subject to change based on community feedback. These are not final.

See below for latest details.

Adjusted Coaching Sliders for all 32 teams,

Found these stats at nfl.com and am incorporating them into the coaching sliders now.

1. Passing yards, for a qb to reach the 4,000yd passing mark for a season they must avg at least 250yds per gm.
(according to the nfl.com 2009 reg. season stats),
10 qbs avg. over 250yds passing per gm.

Heres those 10 qbs
1. P. Manning
2. T. Brady
3. D. Brees
4. M. Schaub
5. B. Rothlisberger
6. A. Rodgers
7. T. Romo
8. P. Rivers
9. K. Warner
10. B. Favre
Also the nfl is a passing league folks. This isn't news to most of us, but to prove my point, only 2 teams have run more times than pass(Panthers and Jets). And 10 qbs have the avg. to reach that 4,000yd passing mark.

Now a few stats on rbs(accrding to nfl.com 2009 reg. sea. stats)
For a rb to reach the 2,000 rushing mark, they must avg. at least 125yds rushing per gm. Only 1 rb(C.Johnson is hitting 125per gm IRL)

So I adjusted the coaching sliders accordingly,

I didn't see a 2,000yd rusher. The highest was 1800-1900 yds rushing.

I got about 5-6 qbs to get that 4,000yd passing mark

I saw less tackles as well(leading tackler was about 125-130)

The only stat that seems too high was the sack totals, usually 2 guys(they both would get 20 or more sacks). Also ypc.

I did test all 4-3 teams at 40 on run/pass slider. It didn't reduce sacks, but it did reduce ints(imo too much, the leading interceptor only had 7ints) So I've since moved 4-3 D teams back to 50 on run/pass slider

Everything else is pretty darn close to the stats on nfl.com!

If you want a team to split carries w/ the backs rb2/rb1 should be at 50. If you want Rb2 to get more carries move that slider below 50, obviously(I tested it at 0 and Rb2 would get almost all the carries w/ rb1 lucky to see 5 carries, barring any injury to rb2)

If you want a team to try and reach 4,000yds passing, change the run/pass to 60 or higher and aggression at least 50.
Not sure if aggression is more for gameplay or not yet.

I do know this run/pass slider(both offense and defense) does work along w/ rb2/rb1 slider.

So you can really change a teams style in games and simmed games by adjusting the coaching sliders.

Also giving you total control of your franchise, making sure teams are being coached the right way, based on their personnel.
Making teams distinct.

When controlling all 32 teams, the amount of season ending injuries was greatly reduced. All simming games 1 by 1 in the League Schedule seemed to improve the stats. I like to save it after I see a game w/ good stat results from simming.

Changes will be marked * and bolded, remember nobody will be more critical about these sliders, than me. So feel free to give any feedback.

These are just a more advanced base for everyone to enjoy the gameplay aspect of Madden 10.
I perfer a more defensive game.
Title Update 2 has catered to it imo.

GAMEPLAY SLIDERS
Normal Custom Franchise Sliders(title update 2)

15mins qtrs

Acc clck: 20 sec runoff(gives more of a challenge to stick to the play called and giving you more of a gameday pressure type feel)* Avg. about 120-130 total plays per game.

Advanced Playcalling= More replays
Gamespeed: FAST!
Threshold: 50

Fatigue: 52*
Injuries: 52*

Penalties: all 100, except holding 50, facemask 50, clipping 80, roughing kicker 75. See on average about 3-5 penalties per game.

Passing 10 *(after testing these in season games, b/c preseason wasn't enough to get these right. I've decided both offense and defense play much more realistic closer to default. Test for yourself before judging. Test in franchise mode in reg. season games, not preseason. The games are much different feeling in reg. season games.)

Player/Cpu Skills

Passing: 10*

QB ACC : 35/50 *
PASS B : 50/50 *
WR CAT: 50/50 *

RUSHING 12 *

BrK TaK: 40/50
Run Blk : 40/50*
Fum: 40/50

PASS D 13

Rea. Time : 50/55*
Int: 10/25 *
Pass Ru: 50/50 *

RUSH D 13

Reac Ti : 35/55*
Blk Shd : 35/55*
Tak: 35/50* Improved the cpu running game and run D.
--------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: These are for Player Skills IQ ranges from 550-650*.

In the end the games are much better, closer to default now. I would rather see player rating meaning something over cpu having such a boost that the games are too scripted and not enjoyable. So these are going to be my base tuned for better gameplay and ratings still having an impact.
--------------------------------------------------------
SPECIAL TEAMS:

FG POWER: 50
FG ACC : 50*(for more of a challenge don't pre-direct the kick, use the directional kicking, while kicking)
PUNT PW : 90
PUNT ACC: 100*(This also decreases the cpu shanked punts)for more of a challenge don't pre-direct the kick, use the directional kicking, while kicking.
KO POWER: 50
-------------------------------------------------------

Player/Cpu IQ Scale: This is designed for you to be able to adjust certain things to your liking, and hopefully gives you an idea of what your doing when you raise/lower certain sliders.

Player Skills Sub Sliders:

Ranges, level on Main sliders, and Player/Cpu IQ's.

Note: The higher the Player Skills Main slider, the less A.I. asst. the player skills is getting.
The lower the Main slider the more A.I. asst. your getting.

Player Sub-Sliders/ Main Slider/ IQ

0-5 / 19-20= All Madden maxed = 951-1000 IQ( Player A.I. being non-existent, thus making the game the hardest possible level to play on. )
6-10 / 18 = 950
11-15 / 17 = 900
16-20 / 16 =850
21-25 / 15 Min. All Madden = 751-849 IQ
26-30 / 14 Max All Pro = 750
31-35 /13 = 700
36-40 / 12 = 650
41-45 / 11 = 600
46-50 / 10 All Pro = 451-599 IQ
51-55 / 9 = 450
56-60 / 8 = 400
61-65 / 7 = 350
66-70 / 6 Min All Pro = 300
71-75 / 5 Pro = 151-299 IQ
76-80 / 4 Max Rookie = 150
81-85 / 3 = 100
86-90 / 2 = 50
91-95 / 1 = 1-49
96-100 / 0 Min Rookie= 0 IQ (Player A.I. gets the maxium assistants at 100. This would make for the easiest player sliders to play on.)
-----------------------------------------------------------------

CPU Sub-Sliders/ IQ( cpu skills doesn't have a main slider like player skills do)

0-5 / Rookie = 0 IQ(meaning CPU A.I. getting least asst.)
6-10 / = 149
11-15 / = 150
16-20 / = 200
21-25 / = 250
26-30 / Min All Pro = 300
31-35 / = 350
36-40 / = 400
41-45 / = 450
46-50 / All Pro = 451-599 IQ
51-55 / = 600
56-60 / = 650
61-65 / = 700
66-70 / = 750
71-75 / Min All-Madden = 751-849 IQ
76-80 / = 800
81-85 / = 850
86-90 / = 900
91-95 / = 950
96-100 / All-Madden = 951-1000 (CPU A.I. gets the maxium assistants at 100.)

So w/ everything at 0 for Player/Cpu skills,
that would equal ZERO A.I. assistants for Player/Cpu Skills.

W/ everything at 100 for Player/Cpu skills would equal the MOST A.I. assistants and theres no telling how many crazy plays would be made.

Most agree that All-Pro(all sliders 50 default) The CPU A.I. is too easy and All-Madden(all human sliders 25 at the most) and the A.I. is too hard.

So my goal is to let you guys use these ranges to get a good playing game for yourself.
(For Ex. We've tested the hum A.I. at the highest/hardest ALL-PRO level 26 and CPU A.I. was put at the highest/hardest ALL-PRO level 70. Player/cpu all 26/70=750 IQ/750 IQ.) This was like playing on All-Madden.

I perfer somewhere in between 600-700 for my Skills and a more defensive style game, w/ stopping the run being a challenge, but not too hard were the Cpu A.I. is super boosted. So these are tuned in btwn All-Pro and All-Madden.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
These play really good for Cpu V. Cpu spectate mode games as well, just change the qtr length to 12mins b/c in cpu spectate mode, they call plays at a faster pace than played games.

This is designed to give you total control of your Franchise.
So these should help improve simmed stats and improve upon the teams gameplay.
By controlling all 32 teams, you could also adjust the coaching schemes from season to season or in gameplay, maybe for teams that have injuries or have added certain players, based on its personnel.

It does give you a lengthier offseason, but it also gives you a reason to look at what teams did and make sure each team is getting the most of what it needs to improve. Just make decisions for each team, like your the GM!

Enjoy your M10 Franchise fellas!

Re: Normal Custom Sliders Title Update 2

Was using your sliders for the 1st title update, they were great. Im now using your new set and it seems to be working fine. I'm having a problem finding the injury slider though. I can't seem to locate it and was hoping you or someone else could point me in the right direction.

Thanks

I use 79/80 for rbs and Dts, everything else is default. I've seen lbs, Wrs, and just about any position thats on the field for I would say over 10 plays start to rotate.
I just perfer my rbs and dts to rotate more.

Of course, if you feel a position should rotate more just by playing some games, go right ahead and raise the sub out higher.

This is more of your user preference based on your team and who you want to play more/less.

Its under settings> game options. It should be right w/ fatigue on that same menu.

Re: Normal Custom Sliders Title Update 2

That's where i thought it was, but all I see under Game Options is as follows:

Play call style
Play Clock
Fatigue
Game Speed
Player Min Speed Threshold
Auto Instant Replays
Coach Mode
EA Sports Backtrack
Fight For The Fumble
Motion Sensor Function

This is so wierd.

try going to it from the main menu. Settings, Game opts, then scroll down. Mayb just overlooking. I don't think you can get to it, inside the franchise mode. So try backing out to the front.
