wsboan11: I use these sliders and winning isn't guaranteed.

I usually spend a few days playing Madden each year and devise a set of my own sliders. I do my best to allow realism in my own way. For instance, I do not want to be able to be the Lions and beat the Patriots back to back with little resistance. I want to be the Lions and have to fight like hell to get a victory or even keep the score close in back to back games. My statistics are usually very reasonable and I never feel like whoa this does not make sense. Each year, I play with sliders that are very simplistic and mostly balanced. This set works very well with me and I have yet to change them since Wednesday. I would just like to put these out for anyone who might find them useful. Feedback is great and if these are not for you, I hope you do find a set that will work because this game can be outstanding with the right set of sliders for the player. I would like to thank Playmakers for the Auto-Sub sliders that are posted in the Sliders forum. I use them and am very satisfied with them. Anyway, here be them! Enjoy!

These are in Human/CPU format

Pass Offense
QB Accuracy- 20/20
Pass Blocking- 40/40
WR Catching- 40/40
Rush Offense
Break Tackle- 20/20
Run Blocking- 60/60
Fumbles- 40/40
Pass Defense
Reaction Time- 40/100 (Reaction time is where the CPU defense poses a challenge, whereas the 0 for Human forces you to play with awareness and tenacity)
Interceptions- 0/10
Pass Rushing- 80/80
Rush Defense
Reaction Time- 40/100
(Reaction time is where the CPU defense poses a challenge, whereas the 0 for Human forces you to play with awareness and tenacity)
Block Shedding- 40/40
Tackling- 40/40
Special Teams
FG Power- 60
FG Accuracy- 40
Punt Power- 60
Punt Accuracy- 40
Kickoff Power- 55
Gameplay Settings
15 Minutes Accelerated Clock 25 Seconds
Game Speed- Very Slow
Player Threshold- 60
Injuries- 55
Fatigue- 50
Penalties
All 100 with the exceptions of:
Holding- 54
Facemask- 55
Clipping- 80

I truly hope that these sliders will produce good results for you all as well. Remember, I am going for a challenge and a realistic football game. I find these simple, even, and rounded sliders do it for me.

These were actually pretty good. I had tough defensive battle between the Seahawks and the Bears. Low scoring game. I quit in the third thought because defense got a little rediculous. I saw multiple passing plays were the cpu secondary literally "jumped" routes before my guy even made a cut. Hasselbeck (me) was 14/38 after 3, bad day but due in part to the defense. That's due to reaction time. I'm going to lower it to 75. Running felt natural and a good feel to it, on both sides of ball.

All in all, good job! I'm going to give these another shot in a different game.

Lower CPU Pass Defense Reaction Time to 80... anything higher and they jump the routes before the WR.

That's what I've gotten from my slider set.

very good sir, I lowered it to 75, so if it's TOO easy then i'll put it up to 80. but yea jumpin those routes is INSANE...thats the 6 sense everyone is talkin about lol

So i lowered cpu pass/run reaction to 75 and played jaguars (me) vs. steelers. Got my *** handed to me. I really think your onto something here. These just play perfectly. I have big plays and so does the cpu but not a lot. Just when it counts. The running games are perfect too. I'm lowering cpu int to 0 though cuz theres just too many. I just hope it doesnt affect the pass defense like it used to in previous versions. But great job, these are great! At least for me anyways!

Glad to hear it! I am going to play a game now with reaction time at 80 and see how it plays. As for CPU interception at 0, that is just fine. I only decided to put it at 10 to make myself stop trying to throw so much on the run. That has trained me to only throw on the run if my guy is fairly open. It also trained me not to throw into deep coverage at any time. Still, with CPU int. at 0, they can still get some picks. In fact, I had a game with it at 0 and I believe the CPU got 3 picks. Mostly from stupid passes on my part but that may be something that you could bump up to 5 or 10 in time or leave it at 0..no big deal.
