Week 13 vs the Kansas City Chiefs

Defences played well through the first as i led 3-0.Early on in the 2nd i get a good drive going that led to a TD run by Moreno.I add two more FG's and lead 16-0 at the half.

My defence kept playing great as i score a TD thanks to a great pass to Scheffler from Orton.I Led 23-0 going in to the 4th, The chiefs offence finally gets going and they run the ball in for a TD.They fail the two points and i add a late fg to win the game 26-6.

Marshall had another great game for me as he caught 8 balls for 147 yards,but again no TD's.

Denver 460 offence yards, 102 rushing, 358 passing,2 turnovers (2int)
Kansas City 237 offence yards, 45 rushing, 192 passing,1 turnover (INT)

My rush defence shut down Larry Johnson as he had 42 yards on 17 carries, while Cassel only managed to complete 19/46.

Sacks
Broncos 3, Chiefs 0

Next week i play the Colts in a tough matchup.

Week 14 vs the Indianapolis Colts

I totally dominated the 1st quarter but i could only manage to get two FG's.I get intercepted by the colts M.Jackson and he takes it for a TD.At the end of the 1st i had 97 offensive yards and the colts just had 9,with Manning not completing a pass as he was 0/5, yet im down 7-6.

I finally converted in the redzone and got a TD from a pass to Gaffney.The colts offence gets going and they kick a FG.I get a good drive going at the end of the half and run it in for a halftime lead of 20-10.

The colts defence improves as i can hardly move the ball while their offence gets a TD from a run from Addai and they tie it up with a FG towards the end of the quarter.20-20 going in the 4th.

My defence holds out the colts early on and i take a lead with a FG.My defence plays well in this quarter and with 1:40 left i intercept Manning and take it down to their 8.Their run defence shuts down my runs on 1st and 2nd down.On 3rd and goal from the 2 they tackle Hillis in the backfield and they call their three timeouts.I kick the FG and lead 26-20 with 1:26 left.

Manning manages to drive it down to my 34 with 19 seconds left and then he fires a pass to Garcon who is tackled at the 2.They hurry up and spike it with just 2 seconds left.They line up with a singleback -3WR set.Reggie Wayne runs a slant and Champ Bailey gives him the inside, Manning throws a bullet right at the numbers and he doesn't drop those balls, TOUCHDOWN COLTS and they win it 27-26.Easily 1 of the most enjoyable games i have ever played.

I can't believe what i just found out

The average offence yards per game for both me and the CPU is 351.
What are the chances of that happening??

I AVG
237 yards passing
114 yards rushing

CPU AVG
248 yards passing
103 yards rushing

And they both total 351 yards a game, incredible stuff really!!

Excellent stuff

That's pretty close to reality, cept the cpu probably throws for a little too much on average. I'd like the cpu to maybe come down by 20/25 YPG Passing on average. Difficult to really say off just 14 games (and 14 is quite a few, but next season, you might hold cpu teams to 320 YPG on average, for instance)...

And a quick note, the Bears gave away 335 YPG last yr, 241 Passing and 94 Rushing. I don't think it's really possible to get any closer with what you have, within the bounds of the Madden Engine..That's actually quite an amazing balance of realism, the more I think about it.

Are you using the exact sliders on page 1, or do you have your own tweaks btw?

As for player stats, 351 YPG on Off is quite a nice sensible amount but so much is down to the player's individual skill/way they call plays etc.

I may experiment with a slightly higher pass reaction time, for both human and cpu defences, or maybe give the cpu a better pass rush...

Great sliders - best I've used.

I just got totally ****ed over on an awesome play too 20 seconds left, I'm not in FG range, no timeouts, so I go for a sideline pass to try to get a few yards and get out of bounds for a FG attempt.

I rocket a pass, my guy doesn't catch it because it gets tipped... And Rice comes out of nowhere and makes a catch and gets grabbed right away and tries to push forward, wasting 5 seconds... So the clock keeps going. I have no idea how to call a spike, so I pretty much am screwed and end up rushing to the line for a running play (I'm just hitting buttons trying to get them to line up fast) and get stuffed... Lost 27-24 to GB.

Right, some small tweaks here and there at last. Both Pass D AWR +5. Human Blk Shed down 5. Cpu Pass Rush up a big +25 to 75, and Blk Shed +5 back to 50.

All changes in Bold in 1st Post as normal.

Reasoning : Hopefully a few yds less per game on average passing for the cpu, and a few yds rushing more, with a slightly more difficult run game for the player. Cpu should now get more pressure on you, and cover very slightly better, making the human pass game harder all round. It's the best way I can achieve this, as I really don't want to start making professional QBs miss passes they shouldn't. I'd rather have decent coverage and pass rush get the same end result.

Awesome sliders DB.. Best out there IMO. I also appreciate your input on the threshold. Madden needs more dedicated people like you to make there game more enjoyable!
