Madden 09 PS2 Roster Update - Any Options Now?

Hello Everyone,
I like to kick back with older sports console games and just play for fun. I'm reaching out to see if there are any methods to get the updated rosters for Madden 09 on PS2 these days. I've got little to no tech savvy, so I'm hoping it's as easy as finding a memory card with the update and copying it. Any such luck?

Also as a follow up question, is there a way to have the injured players active with the roster update? (I.E. Tom Brady).

I was a fairly new football fan in 2008 and it definitely intrigues me to be playing with the right rosters now. Pure nostalgia. Favre on the Jets, Rodgers taking over in Green Bay, Ryan and Flacco leading teams as rookies, young Adrian Peterson and Beastmode. It was a great time to be a fan!!

Thank you in advance for reading this and passing on ideas. For now, it baffles me that the cover athlete isn't playable on this game...

I don't play on the PS2 any longer as I use the emulator, but the fastest way is if you have a PS3 you can use it to transfer between the PS2 and PC by PS3

Honestly i was thinking of manually updating rosters for madden 08 09 11 and naming and or updating ncaa 08 09 11 rosters and selling them on memory cards so whomever gets it can edit the players ratings and etc and start a franchise. But the sheer time it would take......but once done its as simple as copy and paste and update throughout season.
