Mahomes Pre-Snap "Hitch"

One thing that drives me crazy when I play with the Chiefs on PS5 Madden Next-Gen is that he always does a 'hitch' pre-snap. I really don't know how else to describe it.

But when I look at YouTube videos of gamers playing as the Chiefs, it doesn't look like it's happening to most of them.

Here's one video I found that is doing the same thing. He walks to the line, lifts his leg and then steps back another couple of steps and takes the snap. It's super annoying and I don't understand why it happens?

In a real game, lifting the leg is for a silent snap count. I have no idea why he'd be doing it and then moving to his spot though. Does it happen when you're on the road?

Home or Away. It doesn't seem to matter.

In an actual game you are right it could be a silent snap or it could signal a audible or change play check. When we coach this it’s usually to throw the defense off initially because the closer to the center the qb is can signal a rpo or quick hitting play when we check out of it by lifting the leg up and step back it usually indicates a longer developing play so the qb has more time to throw. He can also do the same thing by clapping then audibiling to the next check and stepping back. A goood indicator is if the qb steps back and the wrs Also.
change positions and reset. The chiefs do a lot of that Mahomes is great at changing plays at the line of scrimmage

Mahomes Pre-Snap "Hitch"

Still trying to figure this one out.

Playing a game with the Chiefs at home and trying different formations and things to see if there’s any impact.

Looks like Pistol, Gun and Hail Mary formations all have this issue for every play. I also turned accelerated clock on and then off to see if there was a bug one way or the other with that, but no luck.

Re: Mahomes Pre-Snap "Hitch"

I figured it had to be something I’m doing wrong, or some setting I have turned on, bc surely EA wouldn’t have a bug like that for one of the faces of the league who was just on their cover last year, but... I’m starting to think maybe it really is a bug?
