...Explain this X-factor vision thing to me?

I am new to Madden I haven't played in a couple years. I am enjoying it on the Series X so far but Ive played 8 games and have gone into this X-factor vision thing three times and I don't see the point of it or the purpose.

The camera angle usually is from the sideline and I can only see one player and not the rest of the field

Which x-Factor specifically are you talking about ?

Any of them

I am a Cowboys fan and play as them so Lawrence and Elliot are the two X-factors on the team that Ive seen so far

I just don't get the point of the isolated camera angle. I can understand it on defense if I just isolate myself on Lawrence

But it makes no sense on offense because I don't want to necessarily run every time when Elliot is in the Xfactor zone or whatever. Sometimes this camera angle has lasted 3/4 plays
