I could see a scenario where it was just gonna be a graphical enhanced port, and they went back to the drawing board realizing that wouldn’t cut it. But part of me still thinks this arrives at launch. I just don’t see EA of all companies not jumping in day 1.

This entire year for EA has been a crapshoot. The lack of info since E3 on their future titles, and the silence on Madden features just pours gasoline into this fire

I went into the manage game section on the Xbox UI for Madden NFL 21 today and there was an update for the Xbox Series X|S version. It was tiny so I'm guessing more or an acknowledgement that the upgrade is available. Still it makes me think the Xbox version will come at launch.

What that version entails is a whole other question

Going by the group of next generation features they listed at the reveal, it does not SEEM like it will simply be a port. But who knows lol

I figured as much tbh. We're 20 and 22 days out from launch and no one knows a single thing about the games lol.

Of course it doesn't, but we all know how the hyperbole flows when it comes to talking about Madden now. No it isn't a total rebuild from the ground up like people want or like NBA 2k is, but the "port with better graphics" spiel will persist nonetheless, because, Madden.

If it was a significant upgrade, it wouldn't be a free upgrade.

Some graphical enhancements, faster loading. That's all I expect.
