I own Madden 17, which I bought for a similar price. I’m not very good and play exclusively online in quick matchup. Advice appreciated.

Yes its worth it at that price, however if your an Xbox One gamer i'd say get EA Access for $30 for the year and enjoy all it has to offer. But to your original question Madden 18 is more than worth it at that price.
