Tony Romo Madden 18 Commentator? (Speculation)

I'm curious where commentary goes in Madden 18 being that Nantz is already there and Phil Simms is leaving his position. I'm curious if Tony will make it in as I know they want him to practice and what better way than to put him in studio?

It'd be really cool to see this happen! Has there been any rumors on this lately?

Given that Tiburon already kicked Jim Nantz and Phil Simms both out of the virtual booth in favor of Brandon Gaudin and Charles Davis starting with Madden 17, I doubt we hear Romo calling any Madden games anytime soon.

Fair point - just some thought on my end that maybe they'd go that route to have him learn the ropes.

I did enjoy the commentary last year especially with the updates.

I would be shocked if that happened. Tony has enough on his plate.

The team they have now is fine, they just need to shorten Charles Davis' commentary lines, while adding more dialogue overall.

He retired way too late in the cycle for them to add him in. I would choose Jon Gruden over Romo personally. I think Madden should consider a 3 man booth with Davis Gauton, and Gruden. And have Mike Mayock provide pick analysis during the draft.

Leave commentary alone. The addition of Gaudin and Davis this year was outstanding IMO, along with the weekly updates.


I just wish they could make it more adaptive to your franchise mode.

Keep it the way it is now and just make it better. The two we have are great. I love skipping the half time show. The comments are so funny when you do that. I be laughing hysterically.
