There's a significant amount of utility in the app for league commissioners - forcing wins, advancing weeks, toggling auto-pilot, exporting rosters and stats to a URL - but if you're not a league commissioner I'm not immediately seeing how this app is at all useful for a non-commissioner Franchise player, or a solo Franchise player for that matter as well.
What?

This is mostly to get stats and such for LD...that's the major key here...the old madden app was kinda barebones and glitchy...i don't think it took at times to drop players, etc.

The Madden CFM web app which Tiburon killed off with the release of M17 this past August allowed me to:
  • view my team's roster
  • add free agents to my team
  • release players to free agency
  • spend player XP
  • view individual and team statistics within the app itself without requiring an external download
That's not much compared to what we all want, but as far as I can tell exactly zero of that is in this new mobile app. I was personally (perhaps wrongly) under the impression that the initial app release would at least have feature parity with the deprecated web-app.

I certainly appreciate that there are many hardcore Madden leagues out there which have used DaddyLeagues as an important supplementary tool, and to that end I am not at all dismissing the significance or importance of the data export feature. However, as someone who has never used DaddyLeagues, I have to admit I'm not seeing how this new app is immediately useful to anyone in my league other than myself (I'm the league commissioner).

Yeah I think those things will be coming out in future updates. I think the initial point was to get this app out to companion with DaddyLeagues which tons of leagues used.

Yeah, I saw a picture in the app store showing stats, but just realised that is for MUT, not CFM.

I see where you can export your stats, but looks like you can only do that to a third party site.

That's not exactly what i wanted to hear.

I am personally, very appreciative/excited that this app finally got released. I was hoping for what you mentioned, plus some stuff.

Hopefully we get that interview, so we can see the direction of this thing. I fully understand that this is version 1, and I still hold high hopes that we get everything we want out of this.

Is this going to for sure be linkable with DL? Best case scenario!

Cant wait to get the app downloaded.

Thanks to all involved!

BTW: it's in the iphone app store now!

.......A bit underwhelming in it's early stages...
