Can't run at all

Playing as the Niners, on Pro.
I've redone the OLine, they're not great but a lot better in year 2.
Passing - 23/27 416 4/0 I can pass just fine.
Rushing - 8 for -8. -1 AVE

It was against the Cards week one. If it was one game I'd try again but it's every game. I simply cannot run in this game.

Hate to mess with sliders but I guess I have to?

Re: Can't run at all

Are you using hat count effectively pre-snap and running to the green areas?
What types of run plays are you calling?

Trying everything. Outside, inside, draws, using OLs instead of TEs on the ends...Hyde should be a good enough back to get going, especially on Pro.

Re: Can't run at all

I play on Pro Level and use Run Block at 100

Just zero out your fumble slider and put the CPU tackle slider up high and you'll get better results.....

You really don't need the fumble slider since your controlling the RB anyway

Re: Can't run at all

Try running without holding turbo until you get into open field and using R1 (PS4) to get skinny thru the hole.

This ^^ took me weeks to nail down when to sprint and when not to sprint. But once I got that down I felt like a new man in the run game.

Also are you using the generic 49'ers playbook? I really recommend creating your own. I have a LOT of success running with Crowell and the Browns in a spread offense running inside zones and traps. I play on All-Madden with Run Blocking at 40 and CPU Tackling at 57 and consistently put up 150 yards on the ground.

Try attacking the A gaps (gap between the center and the guard on each side of the line) in spread formations on inside zone and dive plays , it's usually money every time.

Re: Can't run at all

I actually change my playbook with every game. Not sure which I like best but I like the options I've given. I don't really have any go-to-plays...maybe 4 verts...

Thanks for the tips.

This.

When I first started playing Madden, I would always just sprint (turbo) forward the second I could.

Now I make sure to use the hat count and run to the green areas pre-snap. And when the snap occurrs I look for the hole and then press turbo, you always need to be sure to use the get skinny button too so you don't get stuck on your own lineman as well.

Go into free practice mode, and practice doing that and find a half dozen run plays that you do well with. And then trust me you'll do a lot better in game
