Kicking

How come in my cfm the kick aim visualization disappears and I can only see half of it? In the skills trainer I can see the full thing as well as the 3 dot things?

Skills lv makes that happen all Madden no aim help to a lot of aim help on rookie skill lc

Is anyone else having a horribly difficult time kicking? I'm playing on All Pro and Greg Zurlein is my kicker. He isn't completely awful as far as kickers go. I believe he's 95 kick power and somewhere in the mid to high 80's for accuracy.

Through week 8 I am 8-18 on field goals. An abysmal 44% on the year, dead last in the league. I've also missed more extra points than any other kicker.

And I'm missing kicks from everywhere, short, long, doesn't matter. If that accuracy bar is just a hair outside of the strike zone my kick sails wide everytime.

Is anyone else struggling? Has anyone found any rythym with the kicking game?

I'm all about making kicking harder, but holy cow this has been rough

you're not alone. I liked the old style of kicking personally I thought they could've kept the joystick but increased the difficulty. This way doesn't feel like kicking to me and I think you hit the nail on the head it is rhythm and with this way it's harder to find that rhythm and even when I do the old way still felt more natural.

I couldn't hit xps at first at all and even got into a conversation with the devs about it on twitter. they said be patient and you'll figure it out which I did, but it still falls short to me. The only advice I was given from devs/twitterites is be patient its new, obviously I need practice, get used to it, or step your game up.

one of those must of worked because i'm still shaky on fgs but i'm drilling xps no problem even pinned a few punts inside the 5 and I pretty much just got used to it. sorry to not be more of a help.

and the devs said there's no way the old way is coming back for anyone wondering.

I love the new kicking I HATED the right stick use it was boring and would randomly shank kicks.

I think Field goal power needs to go up a bit with the slider though because a 54 yard will fall short quite a lot

I'm pretty good at field goals but for some reason my punts only want to go 28 yards or so

I guess I'll just keep practicing. Hopefully the accuracy zone gets a little wider the higher the kickers accuracy gets, because it's painfully hard to hit when it's about 1/16th of an inch wide on a 55 inch television.


It'd be nice if the "clutch" trait for kickers slowed the meter on the down swing to allow the player a better chance at hitting an accurate kick
