How to: runng back committee

Hello everyone! My second favorite day of the year, madden day! For the past couple of years I've been wanting to do a running back committee, since my Dolphins can't decide who should run the ball every game. This year is especially important because none are good enough to demand 20+ carries. The only luck I've had is manually changing the depth positions in order to bring in a back up for a couple of carries. Does anyone have any idea how to actually setup a RB committee? Or what your best success has been with it?

I don't own the game yet but I would imagine using formation subs would work well.

For example:
Single back - #1 RB
Iform - #2 RB
Shotgun switching every formation - #1, #2, #3, #1, etc.

This is what I'm going to do when I get it today, this seems like the best way and most guaranteed way to get what u want.

I'm also doing this, I remember doing this back in the day with Duce Staley, Brian Westbrook, and Correll Buckhalter on the Eagles.

This year I will likely have Ryan Mathews in most formations but probably using Sproles and Smallwood in a lot of shotgun formations for the purpose of the passing game.

But do formation subs factor into sim results?

If it doesn't your number two got plenty plenty of carries in sim games last year. You can also put your number three as 3rd down back with your two backing him up. Also last year there're were some two hb sets in the Eagles playbook out of shotgun.

Re: How to: runng back committee

It all lies in the players Stamina Rating, unless you want to do the Slideritis thing.

Stamina is huge this year.
"Inside Franchise" <81 will have RBs subbing out.
Above that, they tend to stay in too long.

Keep in mind, with the Tiered animation system in play, these players will get maybe one play before their animations start to digress to the next level.

Ex
RB (A) has 80 Stamina rating and 90 juke rating, he'll have just that one play to perform an "Elite" level move before digressing to an 80 Juke rating.

I use this across the board to separate top tier players from the rest.
Someone like AP will have his stamina cranked at 95+ allowing him to have access to Elite Tier moves on multiple plays.

I also have a theory about the Toughness rating that I make parallel to a players Stamina rating, but that's another discussion for another thread.

Hope this helps.
