Post Patch - IYO Is Offline CFM Playable?

I waited for the tuning update and patch just like everyone else and am now waiting for the roster update BUT ..... i'm reading some pretty horrific things about Offline CFM.

For example:
- LT regression due to allowing a ton of sacks
- QB regression even though QB may have a great season
- Goals not being met by players (CB's INT goals) so dropping drastically in rating

For me these are 3 BIG issues and i'm trying to gauge weather or not it's worth starting an offline CFM when the roster update drops. Is the game still "playable" with these 3 issues, as well as other minor faults?

IMO it's not - and that bothers me!
Have EA acknowledged these issues yet and are working to fix?
Are there any potential workarounds?

Apologies if there is already a thread for this. It's just frustrating that we spend $100+NZ annually for a game with some extreme flaws

Right now I am sitting here playing a game for my CFM and wondering what the point is... Considering that I will restart again tomorrow when the roster update comes in, and then the next update will probable cause me to start over again if it fixes any of the remaining big issues.

It's perfectly playable; God knows I'll want to restart after a couple seasons anyway and by then there will have been another patch or two (playing every game and not playing daily). Not too concerned about year six's rookies if you catch my drift - if there are any "deep" concerns they are months away.

I am of the opinion that with confidence, player re-signing, Team Goals, and especially progression/regression will always be an issue with M16.

these are definitely breaking CFM's playing experience, as well as the entire point of playing CFM(at least for me). for me its always been about franchise mode.

my only hope is next year will be "a brand new franchise mode, and rating system". at this point, I am not sure there is much that can be done other than scrapping most of it- Confidence should have never been introduced to an already broken system due to ratings. you can't add something that dynamically changes ratings unless the mode works to begin with.

I am sure this will get deleted(thread), but....one can hope M17 is the year of the franchise...

Thanks lads..

From what i gather from you all so far - CFM is playable, but you have to put up with the major flaws. This sucks haha

Is it just me or does CFM feel like the forgotten half brother that gets little attention. Seems like everything is headed towards MUT, which i dont touch whatsoever.

Ah well .... NBA2k and Fifa 16 are just around the corner!

At least madden has online franchise. 2ks online franchise has only 2 seasons. So you have to start over after 2 years... It's not a perfect system but it's better than previous years minus the whole goals/confidence thing.

Re: Post Patch - IYO Is Offline CFM Playable?

I think that it's definitely very playable depending on your style of play.

If you play your team's game each week and don't plan on having a super long franchise (let's say you'll probably end up doing five/six years or less), it's very playable. Some of the flaws don't really make a huge impact right away.

If you're someone that simulates all or most of your games and likes to go the full 30 seasons, I don't think that it's worth playing right now.
