Not trying to argue, just asking - if the game is better why are you adjusting sliders?
The sliders are just a way of tweaking the game to your abilities. Some people don't want to destroy the CPU team each and every game, they want the game to be challenging for themselves. Let's face it, we all have different skill sets when playing Madden, and everyone has their own desired outcome. The sliders actually work pretty good this year, so many of us will tweak them until we have the game playing how we want it to, just a personal preference 😉

We all know in the past that it didn't matter if it was Jimmy Clausen or Aaron Rodgers playing QB, they both threw about 70% or above.

Last night, I played a Bears vs Packers game on All-Pro, Josh C's sliders. This felt as close to a NFL game I've played on Madden for quite awhile, stats wise.

Cutler was injured in the first quarter and never returned. Clausen came in and last year and years past, he would have finished with the same numbers as Cutler or Rodger. Last night, he hit 50% of his passes. Finally, EA nailed that.

Now, Rodgers hit 58% of his passes(me) and he was around 65% last year. I'm not at all complaining about that. This tells me the game is different than past games and I need to go into practice mode and don't come out until I average 65% with Rodgers.

As far as Rodgers throws, it's all about the wr/db animations this year. Rodgers throws are on the money, but if I throw it in traffic, shame on me. I need to make better reads. As far as Clausen throws, his were all over the place, over throws, under throws, etc...... nice, a nice comparison between a Rodgers and a Clausen.

My strong suggestion is go into practice mode and try to get the QB's playing like they should be before we tip the scales on telling the developers they need to fix it.

Just my suggestion.
yeah exactly.

ratings really matter this year. knowing the defense you're going against. avoiding good corners and safeties.

so much goes into passing this year. you're offensive line matters. My o-line isn't much good at run blk (in their ratings and on the field), but they're giving me all kinds of time with (high ratings) pass protection.

then learning touch, and your qb's release and learning when to use touch. When to fire a bullet and when put it out in front when your wr beats his man.

i tell yer ... picking up a blitz early and lobbing one out into space where you know your wr/ te are going to be and letting them run onto it as your qb gets smashed is becoming one of the most rewarding plays i've ever had in madden.

I'm using Derek Carr and some games going off for 70%+ completions just picking apart weak defenses. Then you go against the pats, seaturkey's, broncos or even the colts defense, and it puts you in your place.

just the way it should be.

this madden is really coming together. the more i play it, the more i'm loving the little details.

can't wait to go full steam into a cfm with the patch & wk1 rosters!

+10 on this post

my only gripe...is when I line up at the LOS...I can't tell where Revis is very easily.....and some of the ratings, imo, are too high for the backups...Jimmy G on the Pats having 84/80 for SPA/MPA

overall tho, great game this year

Re: Madden NFL 16 Tuning Update Arrives, Tunes Risk/Reward Factor in WR/DB Interactio

so are people just willing to accept the game in this condition? I don't understand why this isn't a bigger deal.

This is a caught ball. Players involved: 77 overall Kevin White 88 catch 85 spec catch 88 catch in traffic. 88 overall Harrison Smith, 90 overall Patrick Peterson.

I know my opponent just lob streaking every play, I choose quarters 2 man under. back off the DBs and play over the top coverage. 2 pro bowl DBs playing the receiver, Kevin White catches the ball with Patrick Peterson's arm through the ball.

This is unacceptable. and it's not just because it happened to me. I've won over 50 games easily by just chucking up lob streaks and holding triangle. It's bad. The simultaneous catches and the 1 handed teabags have to go. The jumping over multiple defenders who are locked into canned animations has to go. the perfect lob streaks 60 yards down the field regardless of who the QB is has to go.

It's inconceivable to me, I don't understand how anyone can play the game for more than 5 minutes without coming to the same conclusion.

I fell like the tuner brook the game. I have only played like 3 games post tuner because I have been having trouble with internet but in those 3 games the CPU has had 300,280 and 250 yards on the ground in those 3 games and no one can make a tackler. Also I fell like I am getting less pressure on the QB and more blow coverage.

Much harder to stop the run post tuner - frustrating.

Tuner only dealt with WR/DB.

I know they said that but I think they are wrong. Before the patch the most rushing yards I had given up was like 200 and most games I would say the CPU would get around 100-130. Now after tuner 300, 280 and 250 yards the CPU has gotten in 3 games. That is to big of a difference. I know in the past other sports games not just madden have had patches where people said they saw things that where not said to be changed so this wouldn't be the first time. That is the thing about patches some times the can end up causing issues with things that where not a problem before.
