Really well written and well played review of this game. In my opinion, this is a very good representation of football. Personally this is my second favorite football game ever to be released. EA releases the patch sooner than later and who knows, this could be the sports game of the year.

Let me begin by saying, I wait to read your reviews before purchasing. I value your input and like the fact you hold off reviews until after you have spent some time playing the game. This being said, how can you give an 8 out of 10 when there are so many bugs in CFM alone. Drive progression, positional season progression and off season progression are so messed up they make the CFM not worth playing. If none of your players progress correctly how can you get into a franchise and enjoy it season to season.

I simply don't understand how reviewers, such as yourself, can give raving reviews when there are some major issues to a certain mode? I know you pointed out the drive progression bug but to ignore the others and not take into account the 30 something page forum of bugs from your viewers...doesn't seem right.

nothing to commemorate the 50th anniversary season???? no special "gold" edition? no extras? no historic teams? EA dropped the ball on this one......

Seriously, with all the issues this Madden has, I am glad they didn't spend time on that. I am truly hoping Madden 17 is Madden 16, perfected with weekly roster updates. I would be buying it on day 1. If it is anything other than Madden 16, perfected with weekly roster updates I will wait atleast a month before purchasing the game to make sure all the updates are out. Heck, I would be happy with Madden 25 perfected with xp cut in 1/3rd.

For Madden 17 they need to keep improving on game play especially with offensive blocking and the defensive pass rushing, and one little thing to keep the game authentic is to add the cheerleaders on the sidelines.
