Trust me man, there are a whole host of other reasons why I can "declare the abject failure of a game design" but I don't think they fall within the scope of this thread.

But it's half sad, half hilarious that a developer would advise gamers to start their CFM's late because of things that many never wanted in the first place. It sucks in particular because this is Madden's greatest gameplay jump in a while.

This is not "buggy", this is a cataclysmic failure by any metric. 5) The way this game was released is not acceptable. 6) Either the Madden team is not big enough, dont have enough resources or, despite what I assume are their best efforts, cannot get the job done.

A bone is being thrown and I doubt if it's the last one.

I'm all about supporting EA and this game and last year's game, but didn't they say that they had two guys working all year with the only task of "tuning" in franchise mode? And specifically tuning confidence? It's hard to believe that they never checked their depth charts during the game once throughout the whole year to see this issue... I'm playing with Marriota who gets like 500+ yards a game because his short and medium accuracy are over 100 in the game. Clearly a rookie shouldn't be doing that because Peyton Manning doesn't even do that. If these devs really spent the whole year tuning they should have caught this. Did they not learn from the sack issue last year?...

Let me ask you this, would you have known if it wasnt pointed out here? I sure wouldnt have known cause I honestly do not even do many subs.

I just came back from getting the game. With trade in of 3 games I was able to get the game, and preorder FIFA with a few bucks to spare. I'm disappointed that I can't start a CFM but glad I didn't really spend a dime on this game

I bought the game fully knowing about the CFM issues. Im a big franchise mode guy, but I can keep myself busy playing MUT and online head to head. It really is unbelievable though that in game player's ratings jump into the 100's. I know nothing about software testing but this is so basic. This is nothing like a weird foul ball glitch at one stadium or a lack of fouls called. This is the majority of players playing at super human levels IN GAME during franchise mode. Like I said, unreal...

Can you imagine if light hitting middle infielders all of a sudden had 99 PWR and were bombing HR in the Show? Or if Michael Kidd-Gilchrist hit a goal of scoring 8 points and then his 3 PT rating went to 110? Those are the equivalents for other games.

As others have said too, it sucks cause in game it plays amazing. I'm still having a blast, but it sucks other people have to wait.

While i agree its a matter of when .Seems like every time i hear "going forward" from EA ,it literally means MAYBE next year. Dont get me wrong , while id like to see this fixed this year, since it hasnt worked right since i dont know when( why have something even in a game if its useless, beats me) but at this point its low on my poll of things they got to fix for 16.
