I see some decent players available during the season. They all sign one year contracts and are unavailable to re-sign. Do they become free agents again after the season or at some point is there an opportunity to re-sign them?

Yes, you will have one chance to re-sign them at the end of the season.

Good, thanks for the reply. I traded some other starters for draft picks and filled some holes with free agents - then I noticed in the re-sign players screen these guys were missing.
