Confused about this.

Also if I turn off simulate game prep in the options, but leave auto pilot on...does the CPU coach still do the game prep?
I'm on that same page man, very confused and so many scenarios to be answered. Not sure why sim stats wouldn't just be correct. Last year they weren't perfect but they were in no way this messed up.

Simmed a season where Peyton threw 13tds and Ray Rice had 410 carries for just 1,100 yards

Changing the playbooks if for simming purposes. When you actually play a team, you load the game with their playbook returned to what it shold normally be, so that you experience the CPU team more like it's reali life counterpart.

Over years of CCM, you'll have to watch as teams change. If Peyton retires and the Broncos have a new QB, they may change their game approach to fit their new QB and personnel. In that case, I think the user should make a decision about 1) what if any changes should be made to the scheme and playbook for simming purposes and 2) what playbook should be used for user versus CPU games against that team.

That's my guess, anyway. If you take over 32 team control, you'll have to pay attention to some of what's best for the other teams over time, and make decisions accordingly.

It's actually not freezing, but literally taking 5-7 minutes going through and simming every teams game prep. Once I turned the simulate game prep option off I had no problems with the games loading for me.
So just to clarify, if you wait it out you can then play your game, and have the benefit of CPU teams doing their weekly prep?

It's a pain to wait, but it would at least be nice to know that CPU teams will be able to develop their players, etc.

Yes I know that, that's exactly what I have no desire in doing. Last year I controlled 1 team and didn't have to worry about others I actually played 7 full seasons, probably the best Madden I have experienced since being forced to buy it back in 2006......

Re: Madden NFL 15 Video - Simulated Season Stats

Has anyone tried simulating a season as a single player online CFM and compared the stats?

Yes, I am actually trying a 10 year sim to see what that's like but the stats after 1 year are pretty much like the video on page 1 of this thread.

max ~30 TDs
max ~4200 yds

Re: Madden NFL 15 Video - Simulated Season Stats

Last video of the day guys, I hope it helps. Basically, changed playbooks to pass balanced or balanced and all schemes on vertical offense. Ran 3 sims, results are extreme in some cases but an improvement on the whole.

Re: Madden NFL 15 Video - Simulated Season Stats

So I decided to change up defensive schemes too for my testing and making sure no team is on "attacking". Unfortunately in doing so, I found another fun bug. When taking control of an existing coach (or your own, it seems), there is no "Base 3-4" option in schemes. Several coaches have it by default, but the moment you go in to change their offensive scheme and playbook, you'll never be able to keep their defensive scheme at Base 3-4. Unfortunately, I was hoping to take all the "attacking 3-4" teams and turn them into base, and now I'm left with turning ALL the 3-4 teams into zone blitz 3-4 or hybrid defense. Well played, guys. Well played.
