Does Statistics finally matter in Madden 15?

I can't understand something thats so important to football cant be replicated in this game. Its almost 2015 and we cant even record assisted tackles correctly in madden. I attempt to do a franchise mode season and the tackling stats are all wrong not one of my defenders have an assisted tackle so its impossible for any one to be a league leader and there could be other broken stats that I don't know about. If this madden cant get that right I will be so disappointed and many others as well.

So I'm relatively new around here, and post my fair share of criticism, but I'm starting to see why some of the veterans have such short patience. You could have created this thread without the negative undertone. It's a legitimate question you have, I think. Statistics are definately an area that needs some improvement.

The tone of your thread seems as though you're asking a question you already know the answer to, so really, you just wanted to vent.

I don't understand what you mean by asking if statistics matter. I'm going to assume you are asking why the assisted tackles don't record. The reason none of your defenders have assisted tackles is in the gameplay engine, there are not very many tackling animations where you have a gang tackle that would result in an assisted tackle. Therefore, because only solo tackles are happening in game, the game is crediting solo tackles in the stats, as no assisted tackles are made during the game. The cpu through simulations however, get credited with assisted tackles causing the problems. Other stats that have caused problems in past NCAA/Madden games are pancakes by OL (in NCAA around 2008 or so it used to be too many pancakes occurred in user games, making all of the user's OL All-Americans, in more recent games, hardly any pancakes occur, resulting in no honors for a user's OL)

It should be a top priority to have the statistics correct if madden wants to become sim football. It makes it so much better, you can see who the ball hawks in your league and on your team, you can see who has their nose in every play on the field , you can see whose playing sideline to sideline with stats and they don't have to be the superstars, it could be average players who fit their teams system that could have a break out year. Its apart of the game that needs a SUPER overhaul.It would be really cool if there was also advance statistics for the game too like mlb the show but its 2 different sports idk how you can apply it to madden.

To JHTJ: I don't mean to have a bad tone but I'm so tired of this games not doing the basics correctly. Year after year theres something wrong with the game. I know its not supposed to be perfect but if your making a FOOTBALL game at least have the fundamentals of FOOTBALL down then add all the gimmicks for the new madden users. With the cash and man power ea has it should revolutionize how we see sports games in general.

Hey, it could be worse. You could get franchise sim scores like 54-51 or 81-7 on a regular basis. Oh wait, that happened a few years ago.

Stats are correct if you sim. The stats are also correct based on what happens on the field. The problem lies in the gameplay engine lacking gang tackle animations.
