It sounds good but the videos EA produced didn't show it. I guess it's wait and see...only a few more days.

Funny how for years we chirped EA stating "spend more development, less on marketing"

So they under market (in our opinion's) Next Gen...and we yell about it.

It's an upgrade from current gen. As is all of the next-gen sports titles, that's why they have been hesitant to show gameplay. Actually, everything I've seen from next-gen looks to only be a slight upgrade from the previous game (see Assassins Creed 4). I mean that's not necassarily a bad thing to me. I think the game will play better but it's not going to blow you away.

That's good to hear... if not see...

I really wish they would stop using those E3 screenshots though. Anything is possible, and we could all be pleasantly surprised, but I think it's a pretty safe bet that the game doesn't look anything like those pics, in its current form.

I'm pretty sure there is a lot of sarcasm in this post, but just in case I'm mistaken, no one considers actual gameplay videos to be marketing. The marketing that people don't want is PowerPoints, Catch Phrases, and sizzle reels that don't represent the actual product.

You can never get enough gameplay footage of any game before making a purchase.

I posted on this earlier, this is not a situation by EA to undersell and over deliver. Their last earnings call outlines that their outlook for this past Madden on the PS3 and the first iteration next Gen are not high nor major revenue drivers in regards to Madden specifically.

These articles are hard to take seriously especially when we are so close to release and EA won't allow anyone to play the game with the commentary on when it plays a bigger factor in the presentation aspect than the crowd noise. Especially in regards to adding color four seasons into a franchise.

Hate to say it but there's something fishy about that review. It's like they went out of their way to bring up every single talking point EA has been giving us. And making the title "it feels distinct from current gen" sounds like a direct PR response to the main criticism that's been out there.

Not saying it's a complete EA plant but it reads like someone with a vested interest for sure.

And I agree that they need to stop using those photoshopped pictures of RG3. The game doesn't look like that, we're not stupid. (and wouldn't someone trying to write an honest game review have taken his or her own screenshots?)

This game is still a no buy for me.
