Madden keeps crashing about halfway through every game I play. My Xbox S says it is overheating and to keep ventilated. There is nothing near the vents, the fan sounds like it’s running, but working real hard… any suggestions? Do those external cooling fans actually work/can they damage my console?? HELP!! PLEASE!!!

I haven't had a problem with the X but used an external fan on the 360 and it helped but first I would get a can of compressed air and clean the vents just to make sure there isn't dust stuck in there.
