Any update or information about Starting a franchise from Play Now game mode?

As the title states. I'm still unable to start a franchise after going through play now game mode. I played a whole game (against current opponent) for last week and then tried to simulate it too, and I have not been able to start my franchise after playing the game. Last year's version I was able to do that. Now I can't no more. It just boots me back to main menu. Has anyone mentioned this?

It changed this year, you have to go start an online franchise and choose the starting point, it has all the previous weeks up to current to choose from.
