I agree that one, the UFL has to show that it can make it past one season and that it has sustaining power. For these Spring Leagues, you need solid QB play for it to be entertaining for viewers. Casual fans don't want to see mediocre QB play. There are enough QB-friendly offenses where it shouldn't be a huge issue. The other issue is that you need solid OL play for everything to flow efficiently. I remember watching XFL games where seeing bad OL play dampened any chance of an efficient offense.
But answering the question, no I don't see it happening. One because they would have to be affiliated and the other because that would be large task to incorporate the UFL and its rules into Madden. I could see a scenario where the NFL could want the UFL to be more of a developmental league for the younger players of Practice Squad guys and to be able to experiment rule changes there. I do think being affiliated with the NFL and gaining more resources and exposure, could give the UFL a better chance of sustainability.
