WRs reacting to zone coverage

In madden it seems more like the WRs only run their route no matter what. In real life you see guys sit in certain pockets in zone coverages if they notice it. They’ll cutoff their route a little early etc to find that soft spot in the coverage. Would be a nice little AI tweak if they were more reactive.

Re: WRs reacting to zone coverage

There are certain plays with route options that makes the receiver sit down in his route if the zone is open

Re: WRs reacting to zone coverage

Aside from a few minor tweaks, wideouts will run every route like they are on rails. There are some plays with option routes as NFLFAN mentioned, but for the most part you have to see the hole in the zone and throw into it on time - they will not stop. You can manipulate this slightly using the right stick playmaker controls.
