JoshC1977's Slider Sets

I have come very close to getting a set I like even better than version 4. My goals were as follows:
  • Get more CPU QB pocket movement without sacrificing their skill level
  • Make line play more dynamic and fluid. I felt the previous set was too static, like a couple of walls pushing back and forth.
  • Give the User the deep ball back. With the old set, I could never manage to get a deep completion as the DB would react too quickly. The new setting opens this possibility again; without sacrificing good DB play.
  • Get some penalties back.
Well, I feel like I have accomplished this with Version 5. As a note, I am playing offline with fairly default rosters (i.e. no QB edits). I also play on the default angle on both sides of the ball (I believe the defensive angle makes it too easy to get the pass rush moves down). If you like playing on the D-line with the defensive angle, you may see too many sacks.....I just don't know.

Man you are on to something here. I did what everyone says to and loaded these thru my CFM from the home instead of manually putting them in and I must say this is the best experience I've had so far and I've tried every set on here. I went exactly what you have on here number for number in my first CFM test. The CPU run game was having trouble so I decided to up FUM to 65 instead of 40 as IMO it creates a more crafty RB. After pretty much a full game the only issue I had was my run game was a little too good. I'm thinking of going down 5 on HUM run blk. As far as sacks go I'm starting to come to the unfortunate conclusion that I can't control any lineman ever. Although this sucks it's just something we may have to live with. Without controlling D-lineman I had 2 sacks and I also had 2 while controlling them.

In this game I was only able to get thru about 3 1/2 quarters but gameplay and stats were spot on. I was the Ravens at home against Cincy in Week 1.

Key Stats:

Hum sacks -- 4

Dalton (CPU) -- 17/28 199 1 TD 1 INT

Flacco-- 14/26 205 2 TD 1 INT

Bernard(CPU)-- 18 for 81

Pierce-- 19 for 111

OMG....there is this stupid ad for Mazda that keeps messing up my view of this site......it is driving me crazy....

Anyways....good feedback on the sliders. A higher fumble setting is intriguing; I played with it some and see potential; but it makes the CPU run game too good.

To offset the stronger run game on both sides, I am going to raise clipping back to 50.

These look pretty promising Josh, can't wait to try them out tonight. Are you seeing to many user sacks or does this set alleviate that, also is the cpu qb throwing down the field at all?

The CPU qb is definitely throwing cornfield, depending on the team. I need a bigger sample size about the sacks though. Please give these a try and let me know what you see.

Played another game. WAS(me) @ HOU.

WAS -- STAT -- HOU

4 -- Sacks -- 1

25/35 -- Completions -- 23/36

300 -- Pass Yards -- 185

3 -- INT -- 0

26-120 -- Rushing -- 20-85

All in all another solid game. I turned the ball over 4 times yet it was still 10-10 with a minute to go in the fourth when I stopped playing. I felt like I should've been losing for sure. It seemed like the Texans weren't getting any pressure on RGIII and the skins below average line. This caused RGIII to pretty much do whatever he wanted. If not for the 4 turnovers I probably would have been up 30-3 as I had out gained the Texans 420-270. I'm going to try and lower HUM pass block. In my testing I had it at 0 at one point and it still wasn't too hard to pass so I may end up there.

Good stuff. I will monitor CPU sacks on the user and will make sure no adjustments are needed.
