Hanson's Balanced Playbook "MAMA5"

Here's a modded playbook I've been working on for quite some while. It's inspired by a ton of different schemes (Shanahan/Mcvay/Schottenheimer/Bevell/McDaniels/ConditionZeroOne) with the addition of some of my own concepts.

This book mostly focuses on play-action plays and specific coverage beaters. User motion is used to identify coverages, in which some plays have one side for man, other for zone.

There are around 33 formations and 345 plays, all with custom playart. Doubles, Spread, Trips, Bunch, Tight, Split, Wing, I Form, etc.

Do you know how to install and be able to use it? Because I downloaded it and used frosty manager to apply and install it but in Madden 20, I try to check for custom playbooks and nothing is there.

Before u start a game, just choose to use the custom playbook "mama5"

I didn't think you could create plays in Madden, or are those all plays already found in the game? Never seen some of those you listed.

Nice work, but I probably won't use them myself because the leagues I'm in don't allow custom books and I'm pretty satisfied and having fun running Shanahan's 49ers offense. This sort of thing should be the future of Madden though. Everyone should be creating their own books the way Call of Duty player create custom guns.

This play does not appear to be in the playbook. Perhaps I'm mistaken, but it doesn't even appear the formation is the same. In this image and in your video, it's a 3 by 1 formation, but in the playbook, "Tight flex" is even.


edit- Nevermind. I see that some plays don't actually match the base formation.

Let me just add what I love about this:


Other than a collection of plays that more closely resemble an NFL playbook (I added some 21 personal formations to make it closer to Shanahan's scheme), the best thing is that some of these plays have play-action/rolls that are actually realistic. Madden's default are just terrible. For example, that "play-action cheese" play. It might be "cheese," but it's something I see Shanahan teams run three or four times a game. It actually looks right here. Love it.

yee thanks man I hate the madden play-action plays too, nobody in the NFL runs them and they never work. The PA Rollout Curl Option is found in gun Tight Flex because that play is basically motioning the slot over to the right bunch. In other formations like Gun Trio, the Mtn Seam Curl Flat requires u to motion the slot yourself whereas in Tight Flex I made it so that its "pre-motioned".
