Gridiron Kings Rules And Settings


32 Teams All-Pro difficulty stock sliders
6 minute Qtrs. No accelerated clock
No team relocation
Custom Playbooks allowed
League advances every Monday, Wednesday, Friday at 11:00 PM est.

ALL USERS MUST CREATE A NEW HEAD COACH

Offense

1.
Back to back play calling of same play same formation is not allowed. If a play results in a 1st down, a new play must be called to start the next series.

2. A play can not be used more than once per four downs. Flipping the play does not constitute a “new play.”
For example, a team can legally run ‘HB Dive’ 4x consecutively, in one series, providing it’s not the same play from the previous four selected plays.

3. QB runs do not have to be designed- but this tactic should not be abused. Meaning, of 3 consecutive plays, a QB ‘should not’ have to scramble each play.

4. Chew Clock feature may be used at the 3:00 minute mark in the 4th Qtr regardless of the situation, but not allowed at all before then. However, you are allowed to manage the clock manually throughout the entire game.

5. Hurry Up Offense may be used 3x per drive.

6. Hurry Up/No Huddle may be used in final 3 minutes of 2nd and 4th Qtr(s), with no restriction, respectively. If game is tied it is allowed.

7. Hurry Up is not allowed by winning team in the 4th Qtr.

8. Losing team in 4th Qtr may use Hurry Up.

9. 2pt conversions are allowed at all times.


4th Down Rules

1.
4th and 1 allowed at all times at users own risk

2. Inside your 40 yard line longer than 4th and 1, PUNT the ball.

3. Over your 40 yard line to 50 yard line - 4th and 5 or less allowed to go for it.

4. Passed the 50 - 4th and 10 or less allowed to go for it.

5. Losing in 4th Qtr no 4th down rule.

6. Fake punts and field goals are allowed at any time but not to be attempted more than once. One of each per game. They are rare plays but still part of football.



Defense

1.
Back to back play calling is not allowed; however, unlike offense, defenses may call same play same formation within a four down series.

2. FG and Punt Block are NOT to be used as normal defensive plays.

3. There must always be 3 players rushing the QB. You can not drop every defensive player into coverage.

Special Teams

1.
Onside Kicks are authorized at all times.

2. Fake punts and Fake Field Goals are authorized at all times one of each per game.


Roster Management

1.
MUST maintain 2 QBs on roster at all times.

2. Position Changes

A.
Changing a WR to TE or SS/FS to LB is only allowed in off-season and pre-season. Any other position changes are allowed throughout the season.

B.
WR to TE and FS/SS to LB must follow guidelines below, and have change approved by the commissioner before changing.

C. WR to RB is allowed however, it needs to be approved by admin before doing so. There is no set guidelines for this swap, simply because there are so many variables. It is a judgement call that the comish and admins must have majority vote on. This change is allowed mid-season.

If a change is not authorized but legal, said player will be forced to be released into free agency for 24 hours and made available to the entire league. After 24 hours and player is still there they can be resigned. Second offense of a legal player not being approved will not ever be allowed back on the team

If an unauthorized player change is deemed illegal then the player will be turned to a 0 overall and forced to stay on current teams roster for 16 total games.

WR to TE

a. Player must be at least 6'3" 245 lbs under 25 yrs old
b. Speed rating 87 or under
c. Acceleration rating 89 or under
d. Agility rating 86 or under
e. Strength rating 65 or over
f. Run, Pass and impact Block rating 60 or over

FS/SS to LB

a. Player must be at least 6'0" 230 lbs under 25 yrs old
b. Speed rating 86 or under
c. Acceleration rating 90 or under
d. Agility rating 86 or under
e. Strength rating 70 or over
f. Tackle rating 75 or over
g. Man and Zone Coverage rating 75 and under

3.
Trades

A.
2 Trades per regular season. 3 allowed in the offseason
B. A player may be traded twice in one season, only if he has not played that weeks game. After advance or game played he must remain on team until following off-season.
C. All new users must play 4 consecutive games before being able to trade.

Trade Disclaimer Buyer Beware


All trades are subject to reversal if a user quits or is kicked. A trade has to be in place for a full season for it to be permanent. This is to make it possible to find replacement users and keep the league alive and full. Thank you for your understanding in advance.

4. Free Agency

A.
Teams may sign 2 FA per week.
B. Signed FA may not be traded until off season.
C. A released player must remain in FA for 24 hours before being resigned by same team.

5. Practice Squad

A.
PS player are ‘glorified’ Free Agents and may be signed by other teams.
B. A signed PS player must remain with the team until off-season. A PS player signed by another team then released; the team in violation forfeits a 3rd round pick to the team it signed the PS player.


Administrative Expectations and Scheduling

1. If a user is unavailable, a choice of Auto-Pilot or Force Win is given to the available user. If a user is placed on Auto-Pilot, the opponent must play the CPU before advance or the game will be SIM. AP stat padding rules must be followed if AP is chosen. AP games are allowed 3 restarts or it is a sim.

FWs are also granted in the event: a user quits or there is a disconnect in a game that was clearly decided. A FW may be granted if a Team Owner is left hanging. This will be determined by admin.

2.
Auto-Pilot may be granted at a User's request. A schedule conflict is: work, school, family, or an emergency. These situations, users should agree to a FAIR SIM unless other arrangements are expressed to an admin. A schedule conflict is NOT: vacation, expired PSN, being MIA with no explanation.

3.
Do not give a vague time slot. “Available tomorrow evening” is very vague, especially with different Time Zones. Available tomorrow, 4pm-6pm EST is an ideal example .

4.
30 minutes passed agreed scheduled time could result in Auto-pilot if not communicated to opponent or an admin. Failure to show or contact an opponent at all after scheduling may result in a FW or Auto-Pilot. Respect a user's time.

5.
GroupMe app is required for league contact information. Once a User has reached out through GroupMe, the opponent has 24 hrs to respond or contact an admin.

6.
Appointed admins assist the Commissioner; they are not to settle disputes. All disputes and/or complaints are to be directed to the Commissioner. If an appointed admin does make a decision on a dispute, it will stand unless there are extenuating circumstances.

7.
DO NOT QUIT! If a user quits then administration can punish the quitter however they see fit.

8.
A user can offer a concede at anytime during a game, but opponent must be notified and respond before ending the game. If they are not notified it can be considered quitting. Any concede offer MUST be accepted unless the game is in the 4th quarter.

9.
Trash-talking is a part of Madden. Remember to render proper courtesy to all other Team Owners. Do not make personal attacks against other Team Owners. Do not use aggressive or threatening language. There is a ZERO tolerance policy on racism. Be mindful of meme(s) used.*

10.
In the event of a scheduled late game passed the advance hour, advance may be conducted the following morning at 6am. Any unplayed games may be played during this time.

11.
Tanking is NOT tolerated. Users that miss 3 consecutive games without notifying an admin with a valid reason will be replaced.

12.
If a user has a total of 4 missed games throughout the season without a valid reason then they may be replaced.

13.
Injuries will be off for advance and during the preseason. In the event an advance occurs with injuries on- and an injury takes place- it is still fault of the TEAM OWNER. Games are to be played.

14. If you would like to switch teams with another user you may do so in the off season if both parties agree.


Stat Padding

1.
User vs User: Games which are clearly decided, chew clock is allowed. If there is no chance of a team making an actual threat towards a comeback. 56 points is the max allowed vs a User in a non-contested game. If the game is contested, there is no points max.

2. User vs CPU/AP: 49 points max- no exceptions.

3. ONLY User vs CPU/AP games have restrictions on stats:
a. QB 350 yards passing
b. HB 250 yards rushing
c. WR 250 yards receiving
d. Defensively there are no restrictions.

Violations for breaking stat padding rules will result in QB/HB/WR being ‘benched’ for the next following game.* *If a RB has 90 yards rushing and breaks an 80yd TD; provide proof of this or any similar situation to avoid this player being benched for following game. Stat padding rules are enforced ONLY vs CPU/AP games.


Glitches and Disconnects


1.
Glitches and (extreme) manipulation of the Madden AI will be considered cheating and dealt with harshly. A User accused of such play will be required to stream games at all times. If admin feel the user is in fact cheating, they may: be placed on Auto or be removed from league and not be allowed to return.

2.
Disconnects occur. The following options are available depending on the time of disconnect:

a.
Disconnect takes place in 1st qtr- replay game; unless there is a 3 score difference then spot the points. Disconnects in the 2nd and so on, the game can be “recreated” by the users and upon finish contact admin for a FW. Users agreement to replay is always acceptable.
b. Disconnects are NOT ALWAYS fault of the user. Please show respect towards each other in handling these situations.


HOW TO SCHEDULE PROPERLY

1. You are to schedule all games via DM so there is no excuses, along with ease of screen shots for proof of attempts. If you wish to @ a person in chat fine, but if they do not respond DIRECT MESSAGE your opponent. Chat messages are often overlooked and will not be valid for an AP unless there was a direct response. Saying I am ready now at the last second is not efficient. It is each users responsibility to be efficient in setting up games. If you are not then don't be made if your game is simmed or put on AP for a user that made legit attempts in DM.

2. Do not be vague. Give a time frame, if you are available from 7am to 7pm say it.

3. Set an exact game time and be ready to play at that time. If you are running late tell your opponent, if you don't you risk an AP.

DM Example:
Team1- What is your availability? I am available Monday 7:00pm to 10:00pm. Tuesday 1:00pm to 7:00pm. Busy and can not play at all Wednesday.

Team2- I can not match your times Monday but I am able to play Tuesday after 5:00pm till 8:00 pm. so lets set a time for 5:30pm.

Team1- Game time set for 5:30 pm see you there!

NOTICE: Communication is key! If users do not communicate properly than you will be replaced. If you will be unavailable for an extended time tell an admin so you can be moved to AP, do not just disappear. Users will not be punished for living life, but will be booted for not communicating.

Playoff Rules

1. All regular season rules are in place for playoffs.

2. Each round will be 24 hour advances. An Extension may be granted if the situation calls for it. If a user is too unavailable or not actively working to make a time, a force may be needed to move things along. Bottom line be available and get your games completed ASAP.

3. All playoff games MUST be streamed via Twitch by the AWAY team and link posted in the GroupMe chat.

Active User Rewards

Any user that completes all of their games with 3 or less force wins or fair Sims will receive ONE Super Star Development 72 overall or less.

The most active team the places 5th worst or lower, will be eligible for a second Super Star Development on the opposite side of the ball, from the first player selected,with no overall restriction. If any of the bottom 5 have more than 3 force wins or more than 1 game simulated they are ineligible. Force losses make users ineligible.

Game Of The Week

Every week our GK Match Maker will select one or two games of the week. This game must be streamed via twitch. GOTW's are a good way for members to stay engaged and entertained by good games within the league. In the case of both users do not want to stream, the G.K.M.M will select the user to stream. If users still decide they do not want to stream then any Active User Rewards will not be granted at the end of the season for both parties involved.

All we do is ask for a valid attempt to be made, to stream any game. If it is lagging or causing game quality issues, the stream may be turned off.

Rules Disclaimer

All rules are subject to change if need be. We will try to have all rule changes between each season, but if a bug/glitch is a problem it can be enforced mid season. Accepting a league invite means you acknowledge all of the rules and any violation can be punished accordingly.
