Luck O' the Irish/OS Dynasty

“Josh-you-wa! Josh-you-wa! Josh-you-wa! Josh-you-wa!” the crowd kept chanting. I skated up and shook hands with Gary Bettman and accepted the Conne Smythe Trophy, took a few pictures, and put it down. Now I skated up again and this time I held the Stanley Cup over my head. The crowd continued to chant. “Josh-you-wa! Josh-you-wa! Josh-you-wa! Josh-you-wa! Joshua, Joshua!”

“Huh, what?”

“Wake up, it’s time for breakfast sweetie.”

“Uhhh, leave me alone mom.”

“Come on down for breakfast and get ready for the Draft!”

“I’m not going.”

“Why not?”

“There’s no point, it’s like I’m going to get drafted or anything.”

“Oh don’t say that, come eat.”
I made my way down the stairs glumfully, and entered the kitchen.

“So I heard you don’t want to go to Ottawa today. Why not pumpkin?” my Grandma said.

“I don’t know, maybe hockey’s just not for me.”

“You’re the best hockey player I’ve ever seen.”

“Aww, thanks Gran, but I think I should just pursue other things…I sent in an application to Harvard a few months ago.” I said, kind of quietly.

“Oh honey that’s great, but…do you think you have the grades for that?” my mom said.

“Yea thanks for the support, but I’ve really been thinking about this whole hockey thing, and I wanna go to Harvard Mom.” And with that, I headed out the door, and went to the creek at the end of my neighborhood. I always come here when I need alone time to think. Harvard shouldn’t be so bad, I could graduate in a few years and become a lawyer. It is short notice, but I think I should get in. If only I had a lucky spurt. Now that I think about it, I had a pretty lucky life for the past couple until about now. Just a year ago, my high school won state in California. If only I still had that luck……Wait a minute, that’s it! Luck! The four leaf clover Grandpa gave me! My Grandpa died a year ago, and right before he died, he gave me a four leaf clover. He handpicked it in Ireland, when he was a kid, right before his family immigrated to America.

“Son, I’ve only used it a few times,” Grandpa said, “but it will give you luck for anything you want.” That’s it!...But where is it? Crap. I got to find it. “A milli, a milli, a milli, a milli, a milli.” It was my cell phone.

“Hello?”

“Baby, I heard you don’t wanna go to Canada today. Why not? I was really looking forward to our…special night,” Anna (my high school sweetheart) said.

“I don’t know, I just wanna stay home.”

“Well, it’s your career babe. Whatever you want. And we can still have our romantic evening tonight, my parents are out of town,” she said very seductively.

“Thanks. Love you.”

“Love you too, now come home!”

Damn, that was a pretty hot ending. Good job man, I'm defiently following. This is pretty great.

You think that's hot, you should see the next update. I think it was too much, so I had to tone in down a noch in the next update though.

Edit: I'm mellowing the next update a whole lot.

When I arrived home, my mom apologized, and I sat on the couch and turned on the Draft.

“-Ning pick Jason Skyland,” the commissioner said.

“Wow, I was certain Tampa was gonna go with Stamkos first
overall. Pittsburg is gonna be mad for sure.”

“Do you want to eat your breakfast now baby?” Anna said.

“Yea sure.” I made my way into the kitchen and scarfed down my bacon and eggs, and went to my room to look for the clover.

“Hey J Dizzle,” my friend Alex said who just arrived, “there’s another draft upset.”

“What is it?”

“Columbus went with a kid named Quickie or some **** like that sixth overall.”

“Wow, shocker.” I could really care less; I was looking for my clover. A few minutes went by and Alex shouted again.

“Hey homo, your team’s on the clock.” I hurried downstairs to see my favorite team make their pick.

“With the tenth overall pick of the 2008 Draft, the Vancouver Canucks go with Eric Hunter of Kamloops, Canada.”

“Wow, another shocker.” Man, what I wouldn’t give to play for Vancouver.

“Hey I’m gonna go take a nap, kay?”

“Sure, whatever floats your boat butt pirate.”

I woke up a half hour later from an epiphany; I knew where my clover was! “Hey babe, come ‘ere!” I shouted.

“What?” she said while running up the stairs. I immediately put my hands around her back. “Oooo, kinky. Oooo, wait, wait, what are you doing? Stop! Not right now, your mom’s downstairs!”

“Just reach inside your padding.”

“Uhh, wha-“

“Just do it!” She dug around a little and Walla, eureka!

“How did this get here?” I took the clover and headed downstairs.

“Hey, you missed more upsets. Josh Kerkey went to Chicago, Jim Carrey is at Carolina, Alex Lewis went with Ottawa, Patrick Koozko got drafted by the Rangers, Clark Anal now plays for Edmonton, Johnny Carson is at New Jersey, and Darren Thomas is with Lidstom and Zetterburg.”

“Wow, can you get any of these guys’ names right?” I said. Florida just finished their pick, and Los Angles made their way to the stand. I grabbed the clover and held it in my hand and prayed.

“Dear God, please, please help me find my way in life. I don’t care if it’s in hockey or a car mechanic, but please guide me. I-”

“AHHHHH!!!!!!!!” Anna screamed.

“What? What’s wrong?! Another spider?” I asked.

“Holy fudging strawberries Joshua…” Alex said.

“What the hell are you guys-” Holy fudging strawberries; that’s an understatement. I can’t believe it.

“Ahhhhh!!! Josh!!” my mom screamed. “Jos-”

“I know, I know.”

“Unfortunately Joshua isn’t here today but hopefully he gets the news.” Garry Bettman said. I don’t know what to say…I don’t know what to think, I wasn’t prepared for this!

“Not too shabby, eh? Thirty-second overall by the Kings.” Alex commented.

Also, is this a dynasty or a BAP? Because the title says Dynasty...
