Well on Twitter, an EA guy announced that Augusta is not in the game. Then did some damage control by saying they have the ability to add it later as DLC. That's not happening. If Augusta agreed to be in the game, they would want it plastered on the cover and so would EA. EA wouldn't pay big money for the license only to be put in as DLC later when the average gamer wouldn't know or even care by then.

If this game is bare bones like I suspect it will be and EA is relying on shiny new graphics and no out of bounds as thier main selling points, then sales are gonna tank. They should have secured Augusta before they did anything with this game but I suspect Augusta said no because the commentary are Golf Channel guys and not the CBS guys. Augusta is very protective of thier sponsers. They should have just have Nantz and Feherty record a few new lines. No one cares about commentary.

If you need your Augusta fix, keep your copy of TW14 because I doubt we will be seeing it for a long time unless the commentary is overhauled again.

Without Augusta, I've lost a great amount of enthusiasm about this game.
I still play TW 14. But I really want to play Augusta on ps4. With Augusta
National and Tiger out we are in a "Brave New World" that I'm not sure I want any

Certainly hurts not having Augusta National, and no course designer to let the user base create it. EA missed the ball here.

Not big at all I'm my opinion. Give me great graphics, good gameplay and plenty of fantasy courses will more than keep my attention. Not to mention the normal amount of real courses.

On a side note, did anyone really expect Tiger to be in the game?

It's been confirmed a while back actually, once Tiger and EA mutually split ways, they rid his name of the game itself, and they no longer have him in the game.
