XP points transfer

I haven't purchased TW '14 yet, I was thinking of maybe renting TW '13 first or seeing if I could find it cheap somewhere before purchasing '14. Anyways, I was wondering if anyone could answer this question I have. I was wondering, how far you need to get in '13 to get the maximum amount of xp points to transfer over to '14. Is it just a matter of making a created golfer and having that save file on your system or is it something that you have to get your previous created golfer to a certain level, therefore dictating how many xp points you actually get to transfer. Any feedback is appreciated, thanks.

I'm not sure how far you need to get for the max import, but I do know that if you just quickly make a golfer in 13 and do nothing else, you get 20,000 EXP points when you import into 14.

Actually, I was just corrected by my son. The 20,000XP was from a character transferred that was already leveled up a bit in 13. We only got 100 XP for the quick one we created in 13, so it's definitely not worth it. Sorry for the mix up.

I was awarded 50,000 xp based on my old golfer.

my golfer was maxed in tiger 13... i got 75,000 upon import to tiger 14.

Same, and I didn't play too much of career last year. I got my PGA Tour card, and stopped shortly after that.
