Does anyone know about downloadable courses? Will it follow the (preferred) TW12 model where you just pay for a course or a package and you own them permanently or will it follow the (obnoxious) TW13 model?

What exactly was "obnoxious" about it? No word on how 14 will handle DLC courses yet....

The TW13 model was great. Earning coins was an easy way to get all the DLC. After a month I had enough coins earned to get every real course with unlimited play for free. You still had the option to pay for it at the very beginning like prior years if you wanted to.

I don't have that much time to master a course. Just let me plunk down my money and buy the courses I want.

You still could/can. You're fearful that EA will remove a feature that enables it to immediately gain money directly from the gamer? I wouldn't stress over that.

It would be nice if it was handled like Rock Band, where songs you buy work in future editions.

Simply playing any mode earned you coins. You didn't have to master anything. If you played a practice round you would earn over 600 coins in that one round which took about 20 minutes. 18000 coins is what it cost to buy unlimited play for one course. If you play the game daily, even for a round or 2, those coins added up quickly and in a months time you could earn enough to DL quite a few courses. After 2 months you would have enough to get almost every course if you played 10 Hours a week. People usually play a lot more than that when they get a new game.

And it was available for purchase just like every other year. And it has gotten cheaper over the years so I'm not sure what yours talking about. Did you play the game last year because you would have known this if you did.

That does not work when EA is required to make updates to courses from year to year as well as changes to the game engine and each year a course appears in the game, there is a licensing fee associated with it that EA cannot afford to simply absorb that cost.
