Career Scheduling of Courses??

First off let me say that I enjoy the game as I haven't played a golf game in several years. I purchased the CE edition and the DLC courses and play using the Move. I have battled through the EA tour and the Nationwide and somehow missed the Q-school (kinda was looking forward to it) as it went straight to the PGA schedule after my last Nationwide event (didn't qualify as my best finish was 1 Top 10).

After not getting the chance to go to Q-school I then looked at the PGA season schedule:

Week 1: Champions Cup - Whistling Straits
Week 2: Hawaiian Open - Waialae
Week 3: Worldwide - Sheshan
Week 4: Southwestern -TPC Scottsdale
Week 5: Georgia State - East Lake
Week 6: Masters - Augusta
Week 7: Texas Alamo - TPC San Antonio
Week 8: Players - TPC Sawgrass
Week 9: North American - Blackwolf Run
Week 10: US Open - Pebble Beach
Week 11: Australia Cup - Royal Melbourne
Week 12: Mediterranean - Costa Navarino
Week 13: Greek Islands - Greek Isles
Week 14: UK Open - St Andrews
Week 15: Welsh Championship - Celtic Manor
Week 16: Dubai International - Els Club
Week 17: Tiburon Shootout - TPC San Antonio
Week 18: West Virginia Classic - Greenbrier
Week 19: EA Sports - Atlanta Athletic Club
Week 20: US Regional - TPC Boston
Week 21: Northern Classic - Whistling Straits AGAIN
Week 22: Northeastern Liberty - Liberty National
Week 23: Desert Invitational - TPC Scottsdale AGAIN
Week 24: Tour Championship - East Lake AGAIN
Week 25: Fantasy Challenge - Predator

I hope this is an anomaly as I am playing 3 courses twice and considering I paid for the others it's disappointing that it is set up this way. Is anyone else experiencing this or just my luck?

DLC events other than the Greek Isle and Els Club tourneys have venues that are rotated each year. So you will play those courses in future seasons.

I'm ok with rotating courses but playing the same course in the same season is disappointing once let alone doing it 3 times. I decided to skip or sim my first season on PGA tour and to my surprise in season 2, I have 3 courses again that I would have to play twice. Whistling Straits, TPC Scottsdale and Eastlake all appear twice on my schedule. Kinda killed my drive for career mode as I've decided to move onto tinkering with other game modes.

Well, I think this is due to the fact that some events that take place at Whistling Straits, TPC Scottsdale and East Lake are the equivalent of the FedEx Cup events that are played at the same courses each year. So those are locked into being at the same course each time.

To make the season long enough, they'd have to use a few duplicate venues.

Re: Career Scheduling of Courses??

The reason you are seeing duplication is not everyone will get DLC and the DLC events are locked in for certain weeks because they have 19 weeks for a PGA season for people who don;t buy the DLC and with only 15 courses (not including the Augusta par 3) you get duplication. It's actually 4 courses that are duplicated as San Antonio is used twice as well.

Unfortunately we all thought they were going to make the career mode schedule fully customizable with DLC but instead we got slated 6 additional slots for DLC events where 2 are fixed in the Els Club and Greek Isles and the other 4 rotated among the other 18 DLC. Therefore those original 19 slotted events cannot be changed and and will always have 4 courses being used twice while the other courses are sitting around not being used.

Re: Career Scheduling of Courses??

So, is it completely random each year or are there certain events that choose from a certain set of DLC? For example the fantasy event only chooses fantasy courses, I assume. Does the worldwide only choose sites outside the US? North American, Worldwide, Fantasy Challenge and what is the 4th rotating tournament?

Thanks.
