Hitting from Rough

Any tips on hitting out of the rough. I've found that even with average length rough it is about a 3 club penalty when the lie is 80%. That doesn't seem right to me as I would expect maybe a club penatly and difficulty stopping the ball.

I'm playing on Wii.

I personally like the extreme penalty. This game has been too easy for too long from the rough. Anyway, I do a lot of pitching out of the rough and onto the fairway. Anything longer than a 6-7 iron to the green and I spin my golfer 90 degrees and in the direction of the short grass, and eat a stroke.

The game is a LOT tougher this year and that's good thing.

One Tip? Don't go into the rough in the 1st place

Even for a veteran at the game like myself, if you go into the rough you are SEVERELY punished.

Exactly.

You should pay if you go into the rough.

I know I swear a lot when I do. With my driver sweetspot at 20%, I have to pay attention to every drive.
