Football Manager 2019 Feature Reveal

The Football Manager twitter revealed that all MAJOR features will be revealed tomorrow around lunch time(I imagine GMT, so 7am CST)

What are people hoping for? What items need a major(UI) overhaul and which ones could stand just minor(Social Feed) tweaks?

They have the Bundesliga license now, so no more out of the box Gelsenkirchen.

My personal biggest change I want to see is a better virtual head/face/whatever for newgens. They've been getting progressively worse over the years and it'd be nice for them to put some effort in on that front.

Yeah. If normal users (wtforkgaming) can do things like that, why not a whole team of Sports Interactive?

New Look for the UI, but it looks like it's a "skin" change not an engine change

That skinning change, UI change, looks ****ing horrific. Who thought that looked good? They should be fired.

I was hoping for a full UI overhaul, this is basically the equivalent of allowing a 10-year old to pick a new color scheme, and adding rounded edges to the previous squares. With the new additions of Dynamics and the like, I was well and truly hoping for a different set-up. Alas, we get a terrible skinning that can thankfully be easily replaced.

Re: Football Manager 2019 Feature Reveal

Overall I'm very unimpressed. This feels like a FIFA yearly update. And not what I'd come to expect from the last couple years of FM improvements. Also I can't get over how terrible it looks.

I haven't read to much into the tactics and training changes. But those seem to be the only legit changes besides the bundesliga license out the gate. Everything else is fluff.

Re: Football Manager 2019 Feature Reveal

I like the training and tactics updates a lot, especially the tactics update. Over the next month I expect little announcements about the Match Engine and the improvements there, which is something I'm hopeful is much better,

I'll take it as the "major feature" reveal as most of these are the back-of-the-box features, but if the little ones that will follow in the coming months aren't impressive I'll be medium on them.

Of note - It looks like the editor will be able to give you control over which competitions will have VAR, so it can be edited.
