That is all.
I will get you back for this by going further than you in the WC. Because, see, my defense is so great, and, uh......okay, so it's not great, but it's definitely serviceable and, uh....yeah, so maybe it's pretty bad, but, um.....well.....fine, maybe it's terrible, but that's not such a bad thing with Davies scoring all those goals......okay, so maybe Davies hasn't scored once, but still....yeah, we're screwed.

Started unemplyed, got an offer from my hometown club (Fafe), that is on the Portuguese 2ª Divisao (3rd tier). Trounced in the 1st game, 8-0 at home, but lost 1-0 to my main competitors, Lousada, in the 2nd game

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***

Decided to give the USA a go one last time in FM10 and I have finally achieved the "Miracle on Grass"

I played all but on game with only 4 players for my back line thanks to injuries to the point were I had to put Jermaine Jones and Benny Feilhaber back there when Gooch and Cherundolo received one game suspensions, which happened for my last group stage game that was a must win.

I do have screenshots of the Brazil, Spain, and Chile game stats if anyone is really interested, didn't want to make a super long post taking up the page if it wasn't necessary.

Got promoted with Fafe, 2 games in, no loses, 8 goals scored. This game is such an offensive extravaganza

Wick,

Can you post how the scores panned out? When the goals were scored, cards given out, and whether games went to penalties or not. I haven't played international management in FM10. Is it any different than FM09?

In last year's game, I only won the World Cup (only tried - a few times) with Portugal. However, the one time I did win it, it was the ugliest way to win a World Cup. Just about every game (not including group stages - obviously) went into penalties (quarters, semis, and final). Imagine the hate that would be inflicted if a team won a World Cup in this fashion. LoL.

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***

Thank you, must say it was a real surprise

The Algeria game in the Round of 16 was pretty easy with a nice 4-1 victory, I did not get a screenshot because I was expecting to get dominated by Brazil in the quarters.

Gooch banged in a header from a LD corner in the 102nd which gave us the upset win and a chance at Spain

When Torres scored I thought the run was over but him getting injured and subbed out turned the game 180 degrees

Was happy when I saw Chile was in the final as well

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***

restarted a new game with LA. I decided this time to use my own tactics and training schedules and also wanted to add a couple more playable leagues. So far so good and having a pretty dominating first half of the season. Even survived my entire starting backline being out due to injuries, but I'm at full health now.

My only blemish so far was a 2-0 defeat that came in the Open Cup qualifying round match vs Colorado, which happens to be a team I destroyed in both league games by a combined score of 10-1. Go figure.
