Welcome to the LEAG (Madden 16)

Madden 2016
All-Madden
Custom Roster

For as long as I could remember, my most enjoyable franchises were born from building a team from the ground up. This entailed a fantasy draft where I could only draft players 70 and under. But what if this was a league wide challenge? Is it possibly…YES. By moving all “extra” players to kicker, I was able to change the entire landscape of the NFL. The elites were now “has beens, shoulda beens or even never was”. Players like Peyton Hillis could find redemption after his flash in the pan, Santonio Holmes was a legitimate threat to opposing defenses, Mike Glennon could finally get his shot as the head of a franchise. Once this roster was complete, the best players at every position were generally 85 overall and under, and these same players were at the end of their career. A fantasy draft (my friend and I could not take a player above 65 overall).
I was able to convince my best friend to join me in this adventure; I took over in Detroit, while he took the reins in the frozen tundra. The first season was rough, we chose the toughest sliders imaginable (All human sliders at 0 and all CPU sliders at 100). We grinded through a whole season going 1-15 and our only victories were against each other. But someone how it was still fun.
2015 ReCap
The Seattle Seahawks defeated the Tennessee Titans 34-20 in the Superbowl. Jay Cutler won the League MVP while QBing the Tennessee Titans. After leading the Vikings to a 14-2 record Mike Zimmer was name Coach of the Year. What I enjoyed the most was seeing how the Pro Bowl shook out with our new look NFL. Young Gun Sean Mannion was the number 1 QB for Team Barry, while Jay Cutler lead team Young. Redemption was found for the like of RB Peyton Hillis who lead a devastating attack in Chicago, Jerricho Cotchery after his 12th year in the league made it to his first Pro Bowl. While, Brett Keisel came out of retirement to make one more trip to the Pro Bowl.
As much as we enjoyed our first season the anticipation to our first draft was overwhelming. Neither of us put anymore in the free agency, and awaiting the prize draft ahead. I was given the first pick in the draft but knew from the start I would be trading back. I made a minor trade with Green Bay to move from 2 to 1, to ensure the future of their franchise. With the Number 1 overall pick the Green Bay Packers chose LSU alumn Wes Sam to play QB. I wheeled and dealed for a majority of the draft, finding the nucleus of my team.
Draft
Round Pick POS Name HT WT College
1 4 G Griffin Ramsey 6-7 336 Georgia
2 1 T Jackson Taylor 6-4 312 Nebraska
3 2 TE Tramon Moss 6-6 265 Florida State
3 25 DB Will Collins 6-1 210 Michigan State
4 1 QB Macon Parker 6-1 220 Georgia Southern
4 25 TE Wendell McCoy 6-6 266 Louisiana Tech
5 1 RB LaMarcus Griffin 6-1 235 Michigan State
5 11 DL Martaze Ramsey 6-1 294 Tennessee
5 19 C Cole Snyder 6-2 313 Maine
6 1 LB Deron Williams 6-3 239 Rutgers
7 1 DB Santiago Golden 6-0 192 North Carolina

UDFA UDFA WR Gerald Marsh 6-4 230 Georgia Southern
UDFA UDFA TE Devin Sutton 6-3 251 Butler
UDFA UDFA G Sherman Pederson 6-4 334 Kentucky
UDFA UDFA LB LaNeal Guy 6-0 232 Georgia
UDFA UDFA DB Jered Austin 5-10 180 Missouri
UDFA UDFA K Jessie Crawford 5-11 182 Notre Dame
UDFA UDFA P Raysean Harper 6-3 206 Hawaii

Guard Griffin Ramsey was a projected LT at the beginning of the draft, but do to the emergency of athletic freak Jackston Taylor he was able to move inside and become my road grading guard to lead my rushing attack. It was hard to separate need from the best available, for every player drafted would be an upgrade to all of my present needs. Will Collins was an initial bust as a 60 overall third round corner, but has turned into an athletic freak at Safety and is able to back up at every defensive back position. I found my franchise QB in Macon Parker, an 84 overall who reminds me of Michael Vick. One might think that drafting two TEs and signing another would be too much, but they all have a role in my offense.
More to come…

This is a fun idea. Work on formatting and spelling and it could be a really good 'chise.

Re: Welcome to the LEAG (Madden 16)

Switching to Madden 17 in a few weeks with the same concept. My rosters 99% done. Most positions best players are in the low to mid 70s range, which is something i was not able to accomplish this last year. Looking forward to the new classes in 17. #WEGRINDIN
