Taking Out the Trash - A Coaching Career

Welcome to my NCAA Football 14 coaching career dynasty. Some of you guys might remember me from digital sports scene where I ran a NCAA Football 11 dynasty under the same name.

I am going to take on the role of a head coach starting at South Alabama and working my way up the carousel. I will try to avoid OC/DC roles if possible and have set coach progress on slow.

Settings
I am using Chedapalooza's Auto-Pass Set and will let the CPU do all the throwing because I suck at passing/reading defenses.

Off Skill - Heisman
Def Skill - Heisman
Injuries - On
Fatigue - On
Quarter Length - 9
Game Speed - Normal
Min Threshold - 95
Home Field Advantage - Off
Ice the Kicker - Off

User/CPU
QB Acc 15/15
Pass Blk 50/50
WR Catch 40/40
RB Ability 40/40
Run Blk 35/35
Pass Coverage 30/30
Int 30/30
Rush Def 5/5
Tackling 5/5
FG Power 75/75
FG Acc 30/30
Punt Power 50/50
Punt ACC 70/70
Kickoff Power 45/45
User sub freq - 85
CPU sub freq - 70

Recruiting Rules
I will make house rules for recruiting as I go but for starters I am recruiting only from neighbor states, home state and those prospects who are interested in me. I am only scouting in the preseason and after a recruit has signed and will balance points between recruiting and game day skills. I will also try my best not to oversign players and will only offer seniors+2 scholarships at a time.

CPU Coach Edits
Also of note all triple options teams have been adjusted to 65% run and run balanced playbook to prevent them from dominating sim games and help them in user games.

Custom Conferences
I have kept everything as true real life as possible without using teambuilder. The only noticeable chance is UAB to the Sun Belt. I moved them because the CUSA had 13 teams and the Sun Belt has 9 teams. The move evens things out and UAB is great fit for the #FunBelt with Troy and South Alabama already in the league.

Credits and Props
Thanks to PocketScout for his Wepage Tool. I wouldn't have the time to compile all of the data without it.
Thanks to you for even reading this thing.

Week 1 - Home - FCS West

Jones' Big Day Rallies Jaguars in Coach Gilham's Debut

Mobile, Ala. - Junior running back Jay Jones scored four times as the South Alabama Jaguars (1-0) scored 38 unanswered points to erase a 10-point deficit and defeat FCS West (0-1) 38-17 at Ladd-Peoples Stadium in Head Coach Barrett Gilham's debut.

Jones overcame a slow start to amass 119 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns on 22 carries. He also caught four passes for 57 yards and one of two touchdown passes from senior quarterback Ross Metheny.

With the ground game struggling early, Metheny went to the air and found success. He completed 27 passes for 319 yards and went to tight end Wes Saxton early and often. Saxton finished the day with 9 catches for 90 yards, both team highs.

The Jaguars will hit the road next week when they face the Tennessee Volunteers (1-0).
