The Grant Legacy: The Story of Jacob Grant

Final Banner.jpg

Welcome Ladies and Gentlemen, and this is my very own football dynasty. I'm going to use a player in this one named Jacob Grant. The first thing I wanted to say is I thought it would be cool to use real high schools in my local area. Because of that, i need to include that if anyone is offended by any post my player or another may have toward that school, than I would love for you to pm me and I will change it. Because these are real school I want to say my apology in advance in case anything negative may be said. I will be playing as a running back for the Ashwaubenon Jaguars at first. I will maintain to keep it at All-American throughout all years. I am very excited to start another dynasty as a previous basketball dynasty of mine failed do to personal issues.

As I've said I am very excited to start this but I feel like there should be some credit given also. I want to thank and give some credit to another Operation Sports user named BraedenG33. If your an active user on here i'm sure you have heard of him. He is a fantastic writer that has helped me through layouts and some ideas of this dynasty. Thank you again BraedenG33.

Now on to what you have all been waiting for....

Jacob Grant
6-0, 205 | Class of 2013
Hometown Ashwaubenon, WI
School Ashwaubenon High School
Position Running Back
Status Undeclared

index.jpg
----------------------------------------

THE GOOD: Jacob Grant may just have that ring to it that you will remember for years to come. Jacob Grant is a speedy, agile back who can pick up speed in a second. It's been rumored that he ran a 4.25 in a 40 yard dash. He can also cut on a dime and can juke nearly any defender in his state.

THE BAD: He may be fast but doesn't offer the strength coaches like. He doesn't offer strength but along with the lack of strength he lacks the high awareness these other backs offer. Jacob Grant also catches up a lot of slack for his attitude problem and no idea when to stop talking.

Strenghts:
Speed
Agility
Accelleration

Weaknesses:
Strength
Awareness
Attitude

Comparison: CJ Spiller
This running back is primed for an amazing senior year. His skill sets of speed, agility and acceleration bring in comparisons of Buffalo Bills running back CJ Spiller but without the attitude. Jacob Grants attitude will be something to watch over the course of the year.

"Hey coach Jones!" Jacob yelled. Coach Griff Jones is Jacobs English teacher and head coach.

"What do you need Grant". Coach Jones and Jacob sat down for an hour during first hour and talked about the upcoming season and expectations.

"I would like to see you rush for over 1,000 yards and have at least 20 touchdowns this season"

"Coach, there are only 9 games aren't there?"

"Yes"

"20 touchdowns in 9 games? I'll do my best but I am not gonna make any promises"

"It's a tough goal but I do think you can accomplish it. Any colleges show interest yet?"

"I have recieved interest from Illinois but that is about it"

"You'll change that. Now get to class"
--------------------------------------------------------------------
"Jake, wait up." Jacobs best friend yelled from down the hall.

"What's up Chris?"

"Not much. Can't wait to start this season and catch that first touchdown"

"I can't wait to rush for that first touchdown. Did coach go over the goals for yourself"

"Of course. When doesn't coach Johnny Jones Bones not think about football."

"Where does the Johnny come from Chris"

"I'm not very sure. But he wants me to catch at least 100 receptions or at least 700 yards."

"Thats not impossible. But I got to get to class so I will see ya later man"

Re: The Grant Legacy: The Story of Jacob Grant

Football. Family. Fans. The three F's. All being used here tonight. I put on a show for my team and myself. Soon. Soon I will be out there, playing of the big leagues. The big time. The lights of Saturday nights. The college life. The high school life. Here I am. Day 1 of my senior year. Game 1. Green Bay Preble. The dirty team, the ugly team. The team I wanna shove my fist down their throat team. Let's get this win.

"Jacob. You done meditating. You need to give the team speech and we are waiting on you. Come on." Chris yelled into the locker room waiting for his team leader.

Jacob started to walk toward his team.

"Alright gentlemen. Who's field is this. Who's fans are these. Who do they come here to see. WHO DESERVES THIS. WHO DESERVES THIS TITLE. WHO IS READY TO DESTROY THE HORNETS. HORNETS FLY AWAY, THEY DON'T STING. THEY DON'T ATTACK. THEY RUN. THEY RUN LIKE LITTLE PANSIES. THEY ARE SCARED OF US" as Jacob went off on Green Bay Preble, a Preble player overheard the conversation.

"Can you believe this. That little hot head over there thinks he deserves the title. Im going to show him who exactly is the boss around here" Green Bay Preble linebacker John Key angrily stated.

"Shut up man" a random teammate yelled at Key.

"And. Introducing your home team. Theeeee. Ashwaubenon Jaguarrrsssss" The home crowd announcers yelled out the the mike.

Jacob Grant yelled out as he lead the Jaguars through the tunnel. "Hey. Little 48. Ya you John Key. I'll be seeing you a lot tonight huh?" Jacob yelled toward the 6-4, 275 lb linebacker.

"Shut your mouth you little pipsqueak. I wanna see you run past me" Key argued back.

The game started as Jacob Grant returned the ball. His speed was very apparent as the second he touched the ball, he bolted off. After being tackled at the 37 yard line, he ran the ball to the outside right tackle. He flew with the wind running as fast as lightning, juking and cutting with ease. He was tackled 16 yards later by misreading a safety and making the wrong cut. This was a problem of Jakes, missing reads of players and being hurt because of it. The game went on and in the second quarter was when Jake has his point proved. He ran straight up the middle, straight to linebacker John Key. Key shadowed over Jake but with Jakes agility he cut right and then span left dodging Key. The game ended in an Ashwaubenon 35-10 win. Jacob's stat line was 26 carries, 274 10.24 yards per rush and 3 touchdowns. He had 70 total returning yards. It was a solid game. Chris had 4 receptions for 74 yards and 2 touchdowns.

"I'll see ya later Key. Good luck on your ruined career" Jacob said as he skipped shaking hands with John Key.

"Hey Jake. Come here a second. I have a person you would like to meet."

"Hi. I'm Jacob Grant, can I do anything for you" Jake asked the mysterious man.

"Actually, I am here from the University of Michigan. I am here to tell you the Michigan Wolverines are interested in your progress and want to promote the possibility of signing you onto the team."

"Thank you sir. I look forward to seeing you again" as the recruiter turned away, Coach Jones gave Jake a packet. The packet was a list of schools that sent interest letters. Wisconsin, Washington, South Carolina and many other schools sent interest letters.

As Jacob was getting ready to leave, a girl named Mikaela walked up to him and started talking to him.

was 200 a typo? 200 is a hell of a lot, like, the NFL record for receptions in a season is 143 by Marvin Harrison, and also, its abnormal to see someone average less than roughly 10 yards per reception, and you have him averaging 3.5 ypc.

But I like the coach going over expectations overall.

haha. actually it's part of the story. This reciever is a byproduct of Jerry Rice and Calvin Johnson Junior to make these stats realistic. lol. nah. it was a typo. suppose to be 100 receptions. and its a either or type deal. He wants 100 receptions or at least 700 yards. I will need to adjust that. Thank you.
