Nick Saban has been hired by the Buffalo Bills, and steps down at Alabama

The real story....

As Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide returned home following their latest BCS Championship victory, Nick Saban finally returned home to his home in Fairmont. He stepped out of the car, and wiped the sweat off his brow, as it was a very hot day.

Nick entered his home to a warm embrace from his wife Terry, welcoming him home for the offseason, but Nick knew in the back of his mind that there is no offseason, and he was going to begin scouting as soon as he sat down in his favorite chair.

Nick sat down in front of the television, and flicked it on as he poured himself a glass of scotch. It was Sunday, and he always loved watching professional football. Nick turned on NFL Network, and the Buffalo Bills game was on, in a match with their rival New England Patriots.

Nick smiled, his friend Bill Belichick, the head coach of the Patriots, was pummeling the Bills, the score 30-7 at halftime. Remembering back to his days coaching for the Miami Dolphins, and how forgettable it was, Nick decided to forget any aspirations he had. He grabbed the glass of scotch, and downed it. He poured himself another.

The Patriots and Bills came out of the tunnel. Nick's cellphone buzzed in his pocket, and he opened it.

The text was from Bill Belichick. "Congrats Nick, you deserve it. But remember who got you where you are." Nick smiled, because only he and Bill knew that Nick never would have gotten the job at LSU without Bill's reference.

Another classic tongue-in-cheek text from Bill, Nick thought. He downed the second glass, and continued to watch the Bills fall to the mighty Patriots. Nick opened his phone again, and continued to look at the text.

Nick knew that he was known as the greatest college football coach, but nobody knew the truth, that he never would have made it to LSU, or Alabama, without Bill Belichick pulling strings as he coached with the Giants, Ravens, and the Patriots.

Nick suddenly had an idea, watching the game in front of him. Even though nobody knew, Bill knew he had Nick in his pocket. Why not go back, and take control of that division, and end Bill's dominance?

Nick smiled. He finished another glass of scotch, and texted a friend of his in the NFL, "Don't leak this yet, but I may be interviewing for an NFL job soon." He stood up, glass in hand, and yelled "Terry, I have something to tell you!"

Buffalo Bills Season Preview

Nick Saban's career as Bills head coach will begin Sunday against the New York Jets. The final roster for the Bills has been released with few surprises, except for one, that C.J. Spiller has taken over as the starting running back for Fred Jackson. It will be interesting to see how Spiller runs in a Saban offense, which is usually built around a power back.
