Buckin' Broncos l M12 'Chise

The 2010 season for the Denver Broncos was a season of turmoil. No longer the head coach is Josh McDaniels. John Elway is now in charge of the Broncos front office. Can the Broncos suceed this year under new leadership and new head coach John Fox?

After Spygate II and the firing of Josh McDaniels, how will the Broncos handle the PR mess. Can they just push it under the rug and throw it down on scapegoat, Josh McDaniels.

After starting in the last three games last year is Tim Tebow the starter? Or will Kyle Orton still be the starter and lead this team? Kyle Orton may be the better passer, but who will win the most games?

How will the 2011 draft class compare to the solid 2010 draft class. At the head of that Von Miller a very impressive DE/OLB from Texas A&M. Can he win a starting spot? Also intriguing is 2nd round pick Rahim Moore S from UCLA, with a spot open next to veteran Brian Dawkins, can he win that spot?

Can John Fox, who's been to a super bowl, bring this team back to the playoffs a season after 4-12? Who will he choose to lead? Orton or Tebow? Are we in for any more suprises ala the John Elway hiring? Only time will tell, follow all the report of the Buckin' Bronco to find out.

POSITION BATTLES
  • Starting QB: Open competition. The talk of the camp obviously, between Kyle Orton and Tim Tebow. After starting in the last 3 games last season, Tebow has some momentum. There are still people in the front office that don’t think he can succeed and Kyle Orton is a better game manager.
  • WR Depth: After Brandon Lloyd the 2,3,4th spots in the depth chart are pretty much up in the eye. With 2nd year guys Thomas and Deck and last season of regressed play of Royal, its all up in the air.
  • Starting TE: Open competition between Fells, Thomas, and Green. Can the vet Fells fight off two rookie who are explosive and both hungry for that #1 TE spot?
  • Starting MLB: Open compettion, between rookie Nate Irving, vet Mario Haggan and 3rd year man Joe Mays. Mays and Haggan split time last year but with Irving coming in can he outplay both of them to win the spot? Or will it remain status quo?
PLAYERS TO WATCH

  • QB Tim Tebow. 2010 1st round pick, in his 2nd full season, will he win the starting job? If not, what is his role? Just a backup QB? Or could he gets reps at other positions.
  • RB Moreno and McGahee. Both have injury histories when carrying the load. But when mixed together they could be a lethal combination. Can they stay healthy and be productive?
  • OLB Von Miller. How will the rookie produce in his first NFL season, and react to the stronger and faster NFL. Does lack of mini-camp and rookie camps hurt his production for this upcoming season?
