2010 Georgia Bulldogs Season Recap

The season started off with a convincing win against Louisiana. From there, however, the Bulldogs would struggle.

Without AJ Green (suspended four games for selling a jersey), the Bulldogs struggled against the next three SEC opponents. They dropped a close, sloppy played game to South Carolina, by a score of 17-6. Then they lost a heart breaker to Arkansas, as Ryan Mallett hooked up with Greg Childs in the last few seconds of the game. Then the Bulldogs traveled to Starkville, Mississippi to take on an up and coming Mississippi State team. Once again, sloppy play forced the Bulldogs to leave Starkville with a loss.

Most thought that when AJ Green returned for the game against Colorado, the Bulldogs would get an easy win in Boulder. They were wrong. Although AJ Green had an excellent game, and some highlight reel catches, Caleb King's fumbles and Blair Walsh's missed field goal attempts, put an end to a chance at winning.

Georgia responded in the next two home games with blowout wins against Tennessee and Vanderbilt. In those two games, new quarterback Aaron Murray and AJ Green built chemistry.

The Bulldogs traveled to Lexington and took care of business against Kentucky. Washaun Ealey rushed for a school record, five touchdowns, and carried the Bulldogs to victory.

Then, Georgia traveled to Jacksonville, for the annual, Georgia-Florida game. Georgia fell behind early, but was able to come back and force overtime, where they would eventually lose, 34-31.

The Bulldogs took care of business against a weak Idaho State.

Georgia then faced Cam Newton and the Auburn Tigers. Georgia lost, but didn't get blown out. They looked pretty solid, and the momentum carried into the Georgia Tech game.

Georgia jumped out to an early lead against Georgia Tech and never looked back. Dawgs won 42-34, making them bowl eligible.

They took on UCF, and the offense never showed up. They lost 10-6.

It was a very disappointing season for the Bulldogs, and AJ Green and Justin Houston leaving left Georgia fans even more upset.
