Injuries:
R. Smith out 5 weeks with a Herniated Disk

Pre-season week one is in the books. An a lot more questions has presented them self. This year the quarterback is going to be the named Smith, we will have to wait and see who becomes the main QB during the pre-season. Rumor has it Frank Gore is on the move. The San Fransisco 49ers president Jonathan Lambert had this to say:
"We have realized that power football is not the way we want to go. We are going to try and spread the field. Anything is an option, nothing is set in stone"

And this about Frank Gore up for trade:
".... like I said we are trying to become faster and spread out. He has two years left and we are going to pay 6 million in bonus money anyways. If we get the right deal with the right people at the right time for the right place we will make it."
